Nino eyed his boss nervously as they arrived at the office car park. Satoshi had been strangely silent throughout the drive and Nino was extremely glad that he hadn’t been the one driving. He wanted Satoshi to stay the same as he had been these last few days but he knew that the man had a reputation to uphold within the office and he himself had requested that the baby was kept a secret. It was a serious case of catch twenty-two and he didn’t know what he should do for the best. To his surprise Satoshi reached over and gripped his hand’s stopping him from twisting his fingers and causing his knuckles to crack.

“Come on, Kazunari…” The man almost purred as the driver opened the door for him and then held out his hand to help him up out of the car. On the other side of Satoshi Masaki hadn’t waited for the car to be opened and was hopping out with a spring in his step now he had woken up fully.

“Thanks” Nino hummed to the driver trying his best to ignore the knowing stare he was getting. The man was from the car company so had no connection to anyone at Yama heights, but Nino suspected he would be offering the story as changing room fodder and he wondered if he would imply that they were a threesome. It didn’t bear thinking about and he allowed a shiver to brush down his spine as he unconsciously took a step closer to Satoshi and leaned into the warmth of his body. Satoshi stalled for a around a fraction of a second but eventually slipped his arm around his waist as he reminded the man that they wanted picking up at 5 unless there was another snow warning.

“Yes, boss, have a good day at work” The man smiled slipping back into the car and Nino pulled a face in his direction but stayed in the warm circle of Satoshi’s body.

“We should go in, we’re actually earlier than normal, only the really keen will be in now” Satoshi hummed his hand ghosting up and down his back. It was near impossible to feel him through the thick fabric of his winter coat but Nino could hear the sound of wool moving against cotton and he imagined fingers moving casually up and down his spine.

“The early bird catches the worm” A cheerful voice called from over the other side of the car park and Nino heard Masaki let out a squeak his cheeks flushing a little red like a plum tomato before gasping;

“Sho-chan…Go-Good morning…” Sho looked surprised, as though he hadn’t noticed the presence of the other PA but Nino was sure that the man’s face softened completely and his smile became a little more goofy as he replied with a soft;

“Good morning, Masaki, you’re here early”

“Yeah, I stayed with Ohno-san and Nino-chan last night and we all came together”

“You both stayed with Satoshi?” Sho asked looking very surprised and Nino felt Satoshi roll his shoulders in a lose shrug but before he could explain why he had had both of them in his house Masaki started babbling about how awesome Satoshi’s home was and how pretty it looked in the snow.

“It is so nice! There is a huge lake! Have you seen it?”

“Yes, I was there when the last bit of building was completed. I prefer it in summer though when you can throw open the French windows against the lake and just dive in when you feel like it” Sho chuckled walking with Masaki into the office leaving Nino and Satoshi to walk side by side. They were still silent, at least for a few moments, but Nino was much more relaxed now believing that Satoshi was going to act the same.

“In summer, I can rarely get Sho to leave” Satoshi whispered against his ear sounding mournful and Nino chuckled finding it completely believable. He could imagine how nice it would be to be able to dip his toes into the water after a long hot day. He had never been a strong swimmer. His school had taken them for lessons, but they had been few and far between, but he was happy with the idea of sitting with a drink in one hand his feet in the water while Satoshi swam around. “His apartment building has a swimming pool, but in summer, he refuses to use it…”

“The lake is so much nicer”

“Then you should have taken the opportunity to buy your own land” Satoshi huffed suggesting that the playful argument was an old one between them, more like him and Masaki with their sleeping habits, and So gave a little shrug.

“When you bought the land, I didn’t imagine such a great house. Yeah, you have your sketches, but I never imagined that it would become reality. You worked on them for years”

“I rarely say anything I don’t mean, Sho, I have always told you how I wanted my home…” Nino smiled at his boss admiring him for knowing what he wanted and going for it. Most people rarely had the courage to go for their dreams, but it was clear that Satoshi was a braver man than most. Sho let out a laugh shaking his head as he mumbled something almost incomprehensible;

“Castle in the air aren’t meant to become real”

“Ah! That reminds me Sho-chan! I’ve finished reading that book you lent me!” Masaki said cutting over Satoshi’s response and Sho smiled asking;

“Did you enjoy it?”

“Yup! A lot! Though I had to use a dictionary too for some of the harder words!” Masaki and Sho started talking about the book Sho had leant heading towards the elevators but Nino and Satoshi both made their way to their stairs wanting to allow the two men some privacy. Neither noticed and Nino chuckled at his friend who seemed lost in his own happy world.

“They are good together” Satoshi hummed opening the door for him and Nino beamed happily giving a nod.

“Yup! I think so too! You’re amazing you know…Your house…It’s amazing…Our baby is going to be incredibly lucky to be grow up there”

“I hope so, I will make sure that it is child proofed before they arrive” Satoshi paused walking and turned on the stair, so he could brush his hand against his stomach and Nino grinned almost not caring when three people came up behind them on the stairs stopping stone dead as they saw their demon boss. Satoshi studied them for a moment and then to everyone’s surprise politely nodded his head and muttered “Good morning. Chilly out”
