“Your house is beautiful” Nino breathed as he and Ohno sat in front of a fire under a blanket. The snow was falling at a steady rate and from the comfort of Ohno’s heated house it looked rather pretty clinging to the trees and surrounding the frozen lake. The house looked the same as it had done when he had come a month ago, save for the fact that there was now a small decorated tree and cute wooden decorations covering a side board. In the centre of it all was a large framed photograph of a small girl with her hair in twin pigtails and a huge grin on her paint splashed face. “Your sister looks like you”

“She does but I think her personality was more like you. She loved to tease me and was always playing practical jokes” Ohno’s lips twitched a little fond smile and once again Nino let his hand slip over to his but this time he held his fingers. Ohno looked at him but didn’t say anything about the action instead allowing his own thumb to move over his fingers. “Matsumoto-san said that your mother was very much the same as you”

“Everyone said that she was. I guess it’s ‘cause we were alone for so long” He mumbled feeling truly amazed that they had been able to spend so long in each other’s company without trying to cut each other down or saying something awful to each other. They sat in a friendly silence watching the snow continue to fall until Nino felt his eyes growing heavy and he yawned loudly stretching out his back and trying to force his eyes to stay open.

“I think that it’s time you were in bed” Satoshi chuckled the sound rich and warm as he squeezed his hand and Nino gave an apologetic smile rubbing his eye with ball of his hand and getting shakily to his feet. “You’re in my room. I thought that it would better for you as it has the bathroom attached while the guest bedroom doesn’t have a bathroom”

“I don’t want to force you out of your bed”

“You’re not forcing me out of anything, Kazunari, I have already removed my clothes from the room. Just accept and head to the room while I fetch you some night clothes” Ohno walked away from him and Nino chewed on his tongue unable to explain why his heart was doing strange little flips inside his chest as he stared at the back. Ohno didn’t want him, he was just doing everything he could to ensure his heir was looked after, a little voice in his mind told him with a nasty little laugh and Nino wondered why he would even think it would be nice if Ohno did want him.

Yeah, sure he had a heart when it came to his little sister, he thought moving over to the strange Christmas tree shrine and looking at the little girl that must have been more of a tom boy than a girly girl. There was a little bright twinkle in her eyes and the dimple on her cheeks made him think of himself at her age and the mischief he managed to find himself in. If he’d have had any other parent he would have run them ragged but his mother had effortlessly been able to keep up and he tried to picture Ohno as being the doting older brother and to his surprise he found it incredibly easy. “She loved Christmas, our parents never celebrated but for two years she had treatment in the UK. She fell in love with it, the decorations, the lights, and the tree. When she became too sick I decorated her room with everything you see here. She made me promise that I would decorate every year. I do my best”

“I think she would be happy. Is she the real reason you want this baby?”

“…Hmm…That is a loaded question, Kazunari, and one which would imply I had a heart” Ohno smirked a little and Nino studied him for a while guessing that he really shouldn’t have expected an answer, it was a personal question after all, but he smiled at the weak joke.

“I think, even if it’s hidden very well, you do have a heart, Satoshi. Um…Are they for me?” Nino nodded to the grey pyjama trousers and black t-shirt in his boss’s hands and slowly Ohno gave a nod moving forward and handing him the clothes. “Thank-you. Good night, Satoshi, tonight has been really nice”

“Kazunari…” Ohno called out when he had reached the door of the bedroom and Nino turned to look at the man who hadn’t moved away from his sister’s shrine. His fingers were resting on one of the wooden toys. His eyes were clouded over and Nino felt his heart ache for the man suspecting he had never really spoken about his sister. He hadn’t processed his own mother’s death, but he had Masaki to talk to “I am not trying to replace her, but I can’t deny that I hope…That like my sister, I hope that our child has your personality over my own. Good night Kazunari, sleep well”

“You too, Satoshi, good night” Kazunari smiled and bobbed his head before vanishing into the luxurious bedroom. Being in the room brought back a flurry of memories and he had to hold his breath and shake his head to dislodge them. It didn’t work all that well and he knew that it was only going to get worse when he got into the bed. Holding the clothes against his chest he moved into the bathroom and looked around noticing that Ohno’s body lotions and shampoos were still resting on the side of the shower and he was grateful for it.

He had his own but only used it when he had times off, not wanting Ohno to know that he wore his scent, now he had an excuse. Switching on the elaborate shower was just as difficult as it had been that first time but eventually he managed to get under the hot spray and he stroked his body with Ohno’s soap. He closed his eyes and found himself remembering the way Ohno’s hands had touched him when he had first woken up. He had been so gentle, so soft…He had thought he was still drunk from the night before now he knew that Ohno had been sober and he was being so nice now that he couldn’t understand why.

Scrubbing his hair with Ohno’s shampoo he allowed himself to think about that morning. It really had been the best sex he’d ever had, and he felt his cock twitching as he thought about it.
