 “Jun seems to be settling in rather too well” Heir Matsumoto said and Sho very nearly rolled his eyes wondering exactly what the man’s problem was now. Almost as soon as Masaki had left the man had flounced his way into his office and more than anything Sho wished that he could tell him to but there was a deep-rooted sense of politeness inside of him that declared as master of the Sakurai house he couldn’t be rude no matter how rude the person talking to him was being. “Do you think that he’s planning to usurp me? With his friendship with the Ohno heir?”

“I couldn’t possibly say” Sho answered honestly, doubting that Jun had any real plans for such an action though he was almost convinced that most people would celebrate if he did. He himself hoped that Jun would one day be able to take over the duties of the house of Matsumoto not only because it would stop the young heir in front of him from being so smug but because he genuinely believed that he was the right person for the job. Of course, he couldn’t say that aloud to the Matsumoto heir more so when it was clear that the man would do anything in his power to put a stop to it. “Though I will say that it seems unlikely. The Ohno heir is engaged to be married after all the most that your brother could hope to achieve is to be the whore of the Ohno house”

“I doubt there was ever a person more suited for such a role” The heir snorted and Sho was tempted to punch him for the comment alone but he continued to sit there smiling a little as he hoped that the man would get what was coming to him. “I know what people say about my brother behind my back. They say that Jun should rule the Matsumoto house, that I’m weak and that my brother is strong, but I will prove them all wrong.”

“I see, I wish you luck in that, Heir Matsumoto but unfortunately I must cut this short” Sho said never being so glad that he had work to do than he was in that moment. He looked almost dramatically at the pocket watch that had been in his family for five generations and still kept perfect time and gave the brightest smile he could manage. “Some of the parents will be heading to the boat now and I should see them off”

“And that’s more important than talking to an heir?” The younger man huffed loudly his face screwing up as he rose from his chair and Sho had to push down the loathing that he felt. The man was only from the second house after all, if it had been the Ohno heir that wanted to speak to him he may have lingered longer but he suspected that Satoshi had more about him than that.

“I am the master of the house Sakurai, I have many things more important than talking to an heir” Sho answered using his full title only because he knew how much it would infuriate him. “But as it happens this time I say with all sincerity, yes, this is more important at least for the peace that has been found between us and them. Please excuse me”

“Very well, I shall find my brother and make sure that he is not getting into any mischief…” The heirs back straightened turning to head to the door and Sho sighed running his fingers through his hair for just a moment not wishing that on Jun.

“I think that you be best served staying away from him. At least for the moment” He said slowly causing the man to turn with a scowl on his face spluttering;

“Excuse me? You are going to tell me how to run my house”

“You father hopes that Jun will fall in love with a human and from what I understand he is growing close to one. If you were to interrupt it might affect that and I shouldn’t imagine that the master of the Matsumoto house would like his plans to go to waste” Sho hummed glad when the man’s face seemed to clear and he gave a nod.

“You’re right, then I shall retire to my room, the sun makes me weak” He breathed airily placing a hand to his cheek.

“No doubt it is the strength of your house” Sho muttered dryly knowing that a lot of the heirs believed that the weaker you were to sunlight meant the stronger you were to the power of your house. Sho had never believed in such things. Satoshi had an extremely high tolerance to the sun and he was a prime example of an Ohno. The heir nodded and left and Sho sighed happily as the door closed. He would be more than happy when the man finally left the island. He brushed his hair with his fingers and then straightened out the shirt and trousers he was wearing before heading out himself. The air-conditioned office had made him forget the heat outside and he had to slow his steps to stop himself from sweating profusely.

“I don’t have any swimming shorts with me” A slightly nasally voice said from the direction of the beach and Sho looked surprised to see Masaki, his friend, Satoshi, and Jun. He had guessed that the heir and second had tagged on to the irritable human but he was surprised by how much they were both willing to stay beside him.

“You could always swim naked” Satoshi replied and Sho’s breathing almost stopped when the human slapped the heir in the chest and glared at him. The heir on the other hand looked completely at ease and was smirking happily “I have some that should fit if you insist on wearing them…Come…”

Jun's brother is truly awful. I don't trust him at all. I just hope that he doesn't ever act on those feelings of jealousy, because I think he could seriously hurt Jun without a second thought. (Well, make someone else really, since I doubt that he has the guts to do it himself.)
