“You don’t trust me” Nino growled slowly his eyes narrowing as he looked at his husband who had just informed him of Sho and Masaki’s idea. It wasn’t even that bad of an idea if he were completely honest. Sho and Masaki were perfectly able to be amazing parents to the children and he was well and truly touched that they were even offering to open their home and their hearts like that but it hurt that Satoshi didn’t think him capable of looking after the children.

“This isn’t about trusting you, Pussycat, this is about what is best for you and the children. Kazu, you’re young…”

“Masaki isn’t that much older than me”

“No, but he has had longer to adjust in his relationship with Sho and thus had more time to adjust to becoming a mated omega” Satoshi informed him softly taking his hands and running his thumbs in light circles around the palms. Nino felt the bitter words ‘not that much longer’ on his tongue but he pushed them away. Masaki had always been more of an omega than he was. He had grown up in a large family and had wanted one for himself for as long as Nino had known him whereas he had always pictured himself with only one or perhaps even two children. But that wasn’t to say he’d only ever wanted two children, plans changed all that time that’s why he didn’t believe in making life plans. After everything Kiyoshi had done for him he owed it to the man to look after the children, to love them the way he would have done if he were able.

“Have you already made up your mind about this?” He asked his eyes boring into Satoshi’s as his head tilted slowly to the side needing him to say no. This was the first time he had ever wanted anything on his own the first time that he had ever asked for anything and he wanted to fight for it as much as possible.

“No! I would never do that without your input Kazu, this marriage is a partnership, I thought you knew that by now”

“I do, I’m sorry Satoshi” He sighed hanging his head feeling guilty for even suspecting that Satoshi wouldn’t want his opinion. His Alpha was so much better than anyone else after all, of course he wouldn’t agree to something without him. “I agree that the idea makes sense…Masaki and Sho are everything children could hope for in parents…”

“Please don’t sell yourself short, Pussycat, you’re already being an amazing uncle to the children” Satoshi cut him off quickly his hands getting almost tight around his wrists as he stared into his eyes, his face reflecting nothing but honesty that left Nino feeling breathless “The twins, Junta, and Yuri already worship you this isn’t about us doubting your ability to love and care for them but it is going to be a difficult thing for you…For anybody…”

“But I owe it to Kiyoshi” Nino breathed his eyes closing as his heart pounded against his ribs. He was expecting Satoshi to berate him for being silly but instead he was pulled into a tight hug his face smooshed against Satoshi’s chest as the alpha pressed his lips to his neck.

“You brought them to Sho and Masaki, I never would have thought to do” Satoshi mumbled his voice lost against the skin so Nino had to strain to hear him “My brother would love them and he would think them suitable to love his children and it’s not as though you’re going to be a million miles away, Pussycat, you’ll be living near the lake you’ll see the children every day and they will be able to see their brothers and sisters”

“There’s a house for rent not that far away…About five minutes on foot…”

“See…but if you really want to look after them all on your own then I will support you in that…”

“No, I…You’re right…It is the best way…”
