“Is your bond settled for now, brother?” Sho asked softly as Satoshi and Nino came back into the room. Their clothing was different to what it had been when they had first arrived and the hair of the Werewolf was spikey and in a mess around his face. The bratty vampire prince part of his mind wanted to wrinkle his nose in disgust at the pair. His upbringing telling him that it was wrong and disgusting that two men would want to be together physically, much less a vampire with a werewolf, but the other part of him was reminding him very casually that if he hadn’t met Masaki as a child and thus felt like another father figure towards him he would have been happy to form a physical bond with him.  As it was it was too weird and sickening even to think about such a relationship. “I hope that you haven’t made a mess in my library”

The werewolf looked uncomfortable his face fractionally changing colours before his eyes searched the room widening when he saw no sign of Masaki. The half-blood had started to drift sleep after having the blood, a common enough thing in all Vampire children, and Sho had carried him to the second floor to allow him to sleep.

“Where is Masaki?” The prince hissed his shoulders dropping down sharply as his eyes narrowed. The action was so reminiscent of a father protecting their child that Sho wished that he could study it, to find out how such a bond had formed between the two. Slowly strands began to slot into place, he had been expecting more of a reaction from Masaki in response to the human blood that he had placed in his otherwise normal human food. He had believed that Nino had tried the Homunculus as only a human meaning that Masaki would have been starved of blood. But as it was Masaki had been relatively calm but relieved when he had tasted the blood.

“Asleep, dreaming peacefully I should imagine, how long have you been putting blood into his food?” He asked his eyes narrowing onto the pale face. There was something incredibly…Vampiric about the beauty in front of him. Or at the very least, he was a romantics idea of a vampire, slim, pale with graceful movements that he wasn’t even aware that he was doing. His lips were a ruby red and his hair and eyes dark. Even without the bond between them he would have supposed that he was the type of person that Satoshi would have liked.

“How? How did you know about that?”

“I guessed, there was a time when Masaki was cut off from me, he stopped appearing to me here in the library. How did you figure out that he needed the blood?” Sho asked with a brush of his hand moving towards the werewolf. He could remember the Werewolf’s birth rather vividly. It was the only time that his father had ever raged and had declared that he personally would be responsible for the bitch who’d birthed him death. Sho had seen the wild maniacal glint in the vampire king’s eyes and he had wondered about the person who had sparked such a reaction. He hadn’t had much time to study him out in the wastes.

Nino looked very much like his Mother the first and last time that Sho had seen him. It was at the start of the peace between their races. The Werewolf and Vampire kings had met in person and Sho had been there as a mediator. He had thought Queen beautiful but that word didn’t adequately describe her son. He was glorious with the nubile body of a whore and the heart and soul of true Werewolf king.

“I didn’t, but my mother’s book, it said that humans thought werewolf blood could cure sickness” Nino shrugged slowly answering his question and pulling him out of his thoughts “Masaki was so very ill that I was prepared to try it”

“I see, I’ve never heard of the blood of werewolves healing”

“I can’t imagine that we would have told you that” Nino bit back and Sho had to concede the point “But, that being said I suspect the only reason that it helped is because of what Masaki is”

I think it makes sense that Ohno is harder?
He was brought up with hating werewolves and relationships between men. I hope he will relax once he knows more of Nino and won't see him as something to observe and study
