“I think that we have lost them for a while” Sho chuckled as the door closed behind Nino and the werewolf. Masaki smiled flushing warmly when he realised that he was still hugging onto his Sho-chan. The depth of feeling at seeing Sho-chan in the flesh had been so surprising that he had been so completely overwhelmed. “It’s okay, Masaki, we’re not strangers after all…I’ve watched you grow”

“Yes, Sho-chan, but I’m crying” He whispered slowly rubbing his eyes with his fingertips as he desperately tried to recover himself. It was so silly when all he wanted to do was laugh and grin from ear to ear that his Sho-chan was here in front of him. “You must think that I’m not happy meeting you!”

“I don’t think anything of the sort, Masaki, I felt like crying myself when I saw you outside. I thought for so long that you were just a figment of my imagination. To know that you are both real and here where I can reach out and actually touch you. It is amazing as well as baffling to me” Sho smiled, completely and easily explaining his own feeling that Masaki felt his eyes prickle with something akin to tears as his breathing quickened to the point that he was feeling faint. His stomach grumbled slowly and he realised that he hadn’t eaten much for the last couple of days. “Masaki? Are you okay? You are looking quite faint”

“Sorry. I’ve been so nervous lately that I haven’t been eating properly” He whispered very gently his cheeks going a little warmer. He sagged back into the chair and closed his eyes as the dizziness washed over him a little more strongly. “Sorry”

“Stop apologising. I have some food. Not much however” Sho said getting to his feet and walking to the cupboards in the kitchen area “I couldn’t give a good reason to have more food from the…Farms” Masaki heard the man hesitate on the word farm and he tried his best not to think about the buildings that held the last of humanity. Raised and bred only to work and to feed their masters. It was something that Nino had always wanted to improve but it was another thing that his prince could only change if he was king and to do that he would have to get rid of his father.

“Sho-chan…Are you really the prince of the vampires?” He asked with a somewhat bewildered expression on his face as he saw the man that had saved him time and time again throughout his childhood bustling around in the kitchen. It was almost a surreal sight and he had to convince himself not to pinch at his thigh to find if it was all just a dream.

“Yes, my dear Masaki, I am the crown prince of the Vampires. Of course, given that my father is a fit and healthy man it would be sometime before I am ever king” Sho informed him as he came back carrying a plate of something that appeared to be meat of some kind and a drink. It looked awful but for some reason the smell was enough to cause his mouth to water. “I’m sorry, I’ve never had to make human food before, but I promise that it will do you good”

“Thank-you, Sho-chan, it smells wonderful” Masaki breathed taking the meal and the drink with an eagerness that he hadn’t felt with any of the meals that Nino prepared for him even though they looked better and under Sho’s watchful eye he ate it with a hunger which almost threatened to overwhelm him. When he had finished, he sighed with a wonderful kind of happiness and then flopped back into the chair with his hand on his stomach. “What, what was that?”

“Just food” Sho smiled taking the plate and the cup and taking it back into the kitchen. “It will do you good my beautiful Masaki, I promise”

“I believe you, you have always looked after me” Masaki smiled happily getting up from the seat and following Sho into kitchen area not wanting to be apart from him even if he felt silly for doing so. Sho was a little surprised but gave a bright smile his arms coming to wrap around him again a little bit tightly. “I am glad to see you, Sho-chan”

“And I you, my Masaki”
