Omega part 44
Jan. 18th, 2017 11:10 amThey worked in silence for the rest of the day with Nino spending more time reading the documents that he was stacking into neat little piles. Half it seemed to be in a language that he didn’t really understand there was a lot of long and complicated words that served only to give him a headache when he tried to work out what they meant. He could grasp the basic idea though, Satoshi wanted omega to be checked at least once a month physically. Nino knew from his lessons that when he became bound to Satoshi it would be impossible for him to speak badly of him so the idea of the physical check-ups was a welcome one but Nino saw that there was an orange sticker and a lot of yellow highlight in his mind that meant that somebody in parliament had looked at it and grown panicked. His fist clenched on the table and his teeth ground together as he wondered at the home life of somebody like that.
“...Pussycat, are you okay?” Satoshi asked gently his hand coming over the desk to hold his fingers and Nino struggled to smile and nod as he breathed;
“…I was…I was just thinking that…That these people…If they could reject that proposal…Then…They must be…Be…What they must be…Doing…” Satoshi’s hand squeezed at his fingers again before bringing his hand up to kiss the palm slowly and saying;
“I know…That is why we will keep working on this, no matter how many doors get slammed in our faces…Now, I think that we’ve done enough for now…” Satoshi said stretching out his back and rubbing his neck slowly with his fingertips. For some reason, Nino had the strangest urge to move and rub the back of his neck slowly. He blinked slowly and tried to dislodge the thought as a weird pool of warmth began to circle around in his stomach. “I suggest that we have something to eat and then go for a walk around the lake…”
“Are you sure?” Nino swallowed a little as his hand was let go and he breathed slowly trying to get rid of some of the excess heat. It worked a little and he could breathe a little easier.
“More than sure, with your help I was able to get more done than I thought…” Satoshi moved over to the window which offered views of the lake. The room had been the dining room but Masaki had rightly insisted that it would make a better office for Sho to do his writing. “Do you know that I’ve always liked the idea of fishing…”
“Have you ever done it?” He asked making trying his best not to sound overtly nervous and Satoshi gave him a smile as he shook his head slowly somehow managing to look heartbreakingly sad as he looked out over the like as he admitted;
“Nope…I’ve never had the time…” Nino’s heart ached a little at the sagging of Satoshi’s shoulders and he wished that he could do something to make it better more so when he heard his husband whisper “One of the downsides of working your entire life…”
“Masaki, my friend…He makes sure that Sho takes at least a day off every week so they can do something completely crazy and unexpected…” Nino said getting up and going to his husband’s side. For a moment, he hesitated looking down at the hand in front of him before he took it. He was certain that Satoshi would reject him and prepared himself for that but as always he was surprised and pleased by the older man squeezing at his hand tightly “…We should do things like that to, ne? Maybe not crazy…But…Fun…”
“…That sounds nice…Come on, pussycat…Food…”
