“…You…Neither of you didn’t have to do that…” Nino breathed unable to quite process what was being said. He was confused and hurt but at the same time he was so unbelievably happy that somebody he had only met once as a child had protected him so much.#
“…Perhaps…And I must ask you to forgive me…I was…Angry with you after our marriage, for not recognising me…” Satoshi breathed looking so guilty that Nino wanted to comfort him “…It was an awful thing, I know that you were only a child and presenting but…But I was angry that my brother had protected you so much and yet you didn’t remember him…”

“I’m sorry…”

“You have nothing to apologise for, Pussycat, I had already told myself that I was expecting too much of you, but then that that day when you slept in…” Nino blinked in slow realisation that he had probably been talking in his sleep and that Satoshi had heard him. His thoughts were confirmed when Satoshi gave him a bright smile his hands squeezing his gently “You…Dreamt about him…At first it sounded as though you were babbling, it was cute…And then I heard you saying the rhyme…It was strange, I had already told myself to make it up to you and then you dreamt that…I guess I couldn’t hide my happiness very well…”

“But…I’m sorry…You...You didn’t have to marry me…” Nino hummed feeling uncomfortable with the idea and Satoshi gave a small shrug his eyes fixed on him as he said;

“Perhaps not…And I have every reason to believe that your father would have rejected the offer made by my brother’s husband…”
“My father…He would Have just taken any offer he could…But…I’m glad he accepted yours…”

“…Me too pussycat…” Satoshi smiled bringing his hands to his mouth so he could lightly kiss his fingers and the action was so intimate and nerve wrecking that Nino couldn’t even attempt to fight the full body flush that crept over him. “I’m sorry that I wasn’t honest with you about all of this before, but…My beautiful Kazunari…I did mean what I said…I do want to seduce you and win you properly, I do want our marriage to work and I will help you to realise the true worth of an omega…Ours was not a relationship like your friends…But I can hope that you will fall in love with me…”

“...And…I…I…can hope…Hope that you…With me…You fall in love with me…” Nino breathed feeling decidedly faint as the words came out of his mouth but to his surprise Satoshi moved forward and pressed his lips to his in a soft and sweet kiss his cheek caressing his cheek lightly while his thumb moved under his eye. Nino responded to the kiss the best that he could knowing that he still wasn’t perfect about it but he was happier. He felt Satoshi’s lips twitch into smile before he pulled away as he whispered;

“…That shouldn’t be hard, my pussycat…I’m already half way there…”

“…You…You mean that?” Nino asked his heart moving awkwardly fast against his ribs as his eyes prickled with something that he couldn’t explain. It was like tears but not tears of sadness but of something more intense and indescribable. Satoshi gave him a smile and continued to caress his cheek.

“…Of course, I do…I’ve told you before that I rarely say things that I don’t mean...” His husband promised and Nino smiled the strange tears coming out of his eyes and rolling down his cheek wondering how he could have been so lucky. Satoshi wiped them away with his fingers before getting to his feet and holding out his hand to him “Come on, let’s drink our coffee and then I will tell you what we have to do first, okay?”

“Okay…”
