Omega part 37
Jan. 6th, 2017 10:48 am“…Nino? Are you okay? Why aren’t you at school?” Sho asked when he had opened the door of his house answering their knocks quite quickly. His eyes moved from one to the other and Nino gave a smile leaning into Satoshi who was the one to give a smile and bowed his head saying;
“…Sorry, I was wondering if you had a room for myself and Nino?”
“…Um…Yeah…Sure…” Sho moved aside and allowed them to come inside. Satoshi’s hand rested on the small of his back ushering him in first and Sho, in full big brother mode, asked “Nino are you sure that you’re not in any trouble?”
“…No, Satoshi came to pick me up from the school because I…I…Was upset last night...” Nino mumbled slowly his cheeks growing a little bit warm as the man’s eyes moved over him. The beta had always been brotherly, ever since Nino had first met him, and he could easily see why Masaki would be crazy about him. Nino could see understanding in the warm brown eyes and Nino suspected that Sho knew why he had been upset. Satoshi’s hand moved up and down his back before brushing his fingers over the back of his neck. It was a gentle, almost feather-like, touch and he smiled at his husband.
“I see, well I have plenty of rooms since it’s the middle of the week…The room over-looking the lake is available…I would show you up but you know where it is…” Sho told him and Satoshi reached into his pocket to pay but Sho glared at him. “…There’s no charge, Masaki would kill me if I even attempted to charge his friend…”
“…I…Then thank-you…Is there a table that I can use? I have some work that I have to get on with…” Satoshi said and Sho nodded smiling as he motioned to the room that Nino knew to be a small library that Sho used to write his novel.
“There’s a desk in there and there’s WIFI…I can give you the password later…” Sho smiled as his phone started to ring in his pocket. “Sorry, I should get this…I wouldn’t want Masaki sneaking out of school…I’ll see you both later…” He pressed the call button and then turned to head into the kitchen “Hey, Masa…How are you? Yeah…I’ve seen, Nino…He’s here in the house…Him and his husband are staying…No I haven’t charged them…”
“Your friend has a good husband…” Satoshi said gently and Nino smiled pleased at the praise of his friend nodding his head as he hummed;
“He does…I told you that Sho was one of the good guys…The bedroom’s up here…” Nino led the way up the squeaky stairs that Masaki had painted a soft and happy blue and then over the hall to the best room in the house. Sho had wanted it as his and Masaki’s master bedroom but had been the one to say that it would be better as the presidential suite. It was worth more than any of the other rooms and was the only one with a connected shower room and a balcony though it wasn’t all that safe at the moment so the door was locked tight, but as it was a large French window it gave excellent views of the lake. “This one…” Nino threw the door open and was even more amazed than he had been when he had first visited. There was a large brass bed against the wall giving them an amazing view through the windows out to the lake. The walls were painted a bright canary yellow with a sandy brown carpet. The furniture was all thick wood set around the room and he smiled “Masaki made it look good…”
“…It’s beautiful…”
“It was a complete dump when they brought it…”
"...Right...Shall we get to work?"
