krystalkatzficz“Thank-you…” Nino whispered smiling at his husband his heart trembling with happiness at the words somehow knowing that Satoshi meant it. Satoshi smiled bringing up his hand to his mouth kissing the ring on his finger lightly. “…You’re marrying an omega too, Jun, Toma told me last night…I’m happy for you…”
“…I’m not marrying him because he’s an omega, Nino...I’m marrying him because he’s Toma…” Jun said and although it didn’t make a lot of sense to him Nino nodded and smiled at his friend. There was an uncomfortable swirl of emotions deep inside of him but the fact that Satoshi was with him made the pain go away a little.
“…I know…I’m happy for you both…I hope that you will be happy together…”
“…Nino…I wish…A small part of me…Wishes that…Things could have been different between you and I…” Jun breathed and Nino felt Satoshi’s fingers tighten on his. A glance told him that the older man probably knew what Jun meant more than he did. “I hope that no matter what happens we will always be close and I hope that you have a happy marriage…”
“…I can’t promise that we won’t fight” Satoshi said softly when he had found words impossible to come out and Nino looked at him again glad that he wasn’t looking at Jun. He didn’t like the realisation that there was a part of him that was jealous that it was Toma and not him. “I’ve been told I can have a sour personality sometimes when I’m thinking or working but I promise that I will work with Kazunari so that we might make a happy life for each other…”
“That’s all I could hope for…I should…I should let you finish your ice cream…” Jun breathed his eyes shining a little as he gave a tight smile that didn’t seem to be completely genuine. Nino let out a shaky breath of his own his hand and arm starting to tremble as he clutched ever more tightly at Satoshi’s hand surprised that the man hadn’t gotten annoyed with him yet. “I will talk to you later, Nino…Satoshi-san it was nice to meet you…”
“The pleasure was all mine…” Satoshi said politely bowing his head and Nino watched as Jun did the same before hurrying out of the ice cream parlour. A tinkling of bells broke the silence for a moment or two and then it settled down between them for a second or two before Satoshi looked at his ice cream. “I’m afraid that we have less of an ice cream and more of a milkshake…Would you like some more?”
“…Satoshi…I think…I think I was in love with Jun…” Nino admitted as twin fat tears rolled down his cheek and off the end of his chin. If he had been expecting Satoshi to grow angry with him he was disappointed. The older man simply smiled sadly and then kissed his hand again on his palm before saying;
“I know, pussycat, I’m sorry that you couldn’t be with him…”
“You…You’re not angry with me?”
“…Should I be? Pussycat, in a fair world you…You and I shouldn’t be married…” Satoshi said and Nino scowled a little uncomfortable with that idea for some reason “…Or at the very least I should have come to you and seduced you…I should have gotten to know you by talking to you and not getting a booklet made up of your likes and dislikes, interests and hobbies…I should have asked you if you wanted to marry me and not your father…Unfortunately, the world isn’t like that…But I promise you that I won’t quit fighting until it’s that way for our children and their generation…”
“…You…You can still…Seduce…Seduce me…” Nino breathed flushing at the awkward way in which the words came out and his flush only grew deeper when Satoshi chuckled and whispered;
“And I plan to pussycat…”
