Satoshi gave a sigh reaching into his pocket and pulling out his wallet. A few seconds later a beat-up photograph was being pushed into his hands. Nino blinked slowly looking down into the twin faces that were looking up at him. They were around 16 chubby but still handsome with matching longish hair that seemed to feather out from around their faces. It was clearly Satoshi and his brother and they really were almost identical. “What…What was his name?”

“…Kiyoshi…His name was Kiyoshi…He was the one on the…”

“Right…” Nino hummed looking at the gentle smile that was on the right twin. It was more open and friendly than the one on the other and Nino could already see the stubborn look that was in his husband’s eyes now. It was strangely cute seeing his husband at the same age he was. It made him feel less intimidating.

“Yes…People could never tell us apart…Even our scents were the same…” Satoshi told him with a very small chuckle and Nino couldn’t stop himself from shaking his head and whispering;

“Kiyoshi-san’s scent as sweeter than yours…Your scent is…Tangier and I think it’s slightly nicer...”

“…To most people our scents were the same…It seems that you have a delicate nose for scents…” Satoshi let out a chuckle and then allowed his had to move down his back and Nino flushed happier at the sensation that washed over him at the touch. “That photo was the last time I saw my brother before he was taken ill…It was taken on our 16^th birthday…The day before he married an alpha that my parents had picked out for him…”

“You could be together? Up until then?”

“Yes, even with our strange biology siblings don’t run the risk of becoming attracted to each other so even though he was an omega and presented early we could stay together…” Satoshi explained “…We were home schooled by our parents and uncle…” Satoshi let out a sigh motioning for him to sit on a bench overlooking a stream that was emptying itself into the ocean. It was a beautiful, peaceful sight and Nino found himself enjoying the sight. “Every day was another excuse to have fun…Kiyoshi was the fun one…I was the more serious...The alpha who my brother married wasn’t the nicest of people…He was like the alphas of old…Their word is law and a omega is only there for breeding…He mated with my brother until there was nothing left of him…By the time of his death I didn’t even recognise my brother…” Nino blinked in amazement his mouth opening and closing as he tried hard to think of something clever or sympathetic to say that would comfort his husband but there was nothing that came to him. He never expected Satoshi to be so raw and open with him like this and he hoped that it was enough for him to sit and listen. “…I know that you think not taking you is an insult and believe me I am physically attracted to you and want to be with you…That way…But…I also think that you should be allowed to have something of your childhood…To enjoy your schooling with friends…To be young and free for as long as long as you are able to be…”

“…Thank-you…Thank-you for telling me…And…And for doing that…” Nino muttered lamely his throat feeling as though it were stuffed with an apple sized lump and Satoshi turned to look at him with a smile on his face.

“It’s okay…We really should hurry up now…”
