Nino tried hard but he couldn’t forget about the kiss, or the feel of Satoshi leaning against his back. He hadn’t been able to concentrate on any of the other machines and he allowed himself to be led out of the arcade to dress so they could go for the meal in the restaurant in town. He placed his three new wins onto the table with the two that he had won previously and then spent a moment studying his husband who had stripped out of his normal day suit and stepped into a formal black suit and bow tie. He looked mouth-wateringly attractive and Nino had to snap his mouth closed when he became aware that it was hanging open as he looked at him.

“…I…Should…I suppose that I should scent you…” Satoshi breathed and Nino automatically tilted his head to one side to expose his mark surprised when Satoshi looked positively terrified at the sight of his mark. The alpha’s eyes bulged a little and his tongue poked out of his mouth scrapping over his lips but quickly he shook himself and then his head recovering his expression quickly as he hummed “Get ready and then met me in the lobby I will scent you there again…Don’t be too long…”

“I…Okay…” Nino nodded slowly his shoulders sagging as he realised that Satoshi had switched back to the person that he had been on their wedding day. Satoshi gave a brief, sharp nod and then stalked passed him out of the room. As soon as the door closed behind his retreating back Nino sank into the chair and lay his hands on his knees squeezing them tightly as he breathed. He was an idiot, he knew that, he was just an omega. Satoshi had been so nice to him today and yesterday and today and he had hoped that the kiss had meant that they would work through this together as a real couple like Masaki and Sho but obviously, that wasn’t the case.

To his annoyance as prickly tears came to cascade down his cheeks landing on his legs. He allowed them to fall for a while and then sucked in a breath before telling himself that he was an idiot and it was even more idiotic to sit here crying over something that he had already known. He wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. His eyes itched a little bit more but he felt calmer now and he hurried to the bathroom to strip out of his clothes and gave him himself a stand-up wash. He scrubbed himself with a rough cloth and then hurried out into the bedroom.

There was a grey suit in with the clothes that he had been given and that was what he pulled on. The soft suit felt amazing against his skin but when he looked at his reflection in the mirror he felt like a kid in his father’s clothes. The suit had been styled and cut to his body and size but it didn’t suit him not like it did Satoshi. He knew that there was no time for him for him to change he hurried out of the room. The door locked automatically behind him and he hurried downstairs.

Satoshi was sitting in the same place that he had been yesterday reading a newspaper and looking like he owned the hotel. He was uncomfortably aware of eyes on him as he moved through the foyer and he wondered if they all thought that he looked stupid too. He quickly made his way to Satoshi and he was happy to see that Satoshi looked at him with an approving glint to his eyes.

“You look very handsome…” Satoshi purred and Nino cursed as his foolish heart do a flip even as he tried to tell himself not to. “Very handsome, indeed…Come on…”
