Detention (Edit) part 4

“It's not the same place but I think that it will be okay…” Nino hummed looking up at the noodle restaurant that was in front of them and Satoshi smiled at his teacher glad that he was no longer green from his experience on the waltzes. They went inside and thankfully like most of the fair it was almost empty. Satoshi hoped that it was down to it being a school day but he suspected that it had a lot to do with the outdated rides and less than modern service.  With Disney and other named amusement parks there didn’t seem to be any need to go to a family run place like this. This place was mostly for people with very young children or, like in his teacher’s case, those with a great deal of nostalgia. “…What do you want? Beef, chicken, pork…? Or all of them?”

“…Um…All…With extra green onions?” Satoshi said feeling nervous and jealous under the looks that Nino was receiving from the staff behind the counter. He had thought that most people assumed thought that Nino was a child but the three-woman all seemed to find Nino attractive. Nino smiled at them and then nudged at his arm before motioning for him to go get a table.

“I’ll just be a minute…” He said softly heading over to the counter and making their orders. Satoshi looked around the restaurant for a moment and then purposely chose a table as far away from the counter as possible. It was in the corner near the window so they could look out at the courtyard and at rides. Satoshi’s mouth twitched into a smile as he remembered all the rides that he and Satoshi had been on. Like most of the times within his detention over the last week this had been one of the best of his life. There were moments, rather like now, when he was sure that he was going to wake up with Nino looming over him with the scary expression on his face. “Oh-chan…I brought you tea…” Nino hummed now placing a cup down in front of him before settling in the chair opposite.

“Wow…All tucked out of the way like this it’s like we’re on a secret date ne?”

“…Sorry…Do you want to move?” Satoshi spluttered half-getting up from the chair causing the not so sturdy table to scrape against the floor in his hurry and Nino gave a laugh quickly grabbing a hold of the two cups to stop them from moving as he said softly;

“Don’t be a dunce, this is nice…Just me and you…Have you had fun?”

“…Yes…More than I could ever have imagined! Thank-you, sensei…I’ve never been on so many rides before…” Satoshi said honestly grinning at the older man who flashed him another little smile before reaching over the table to squeeze at his hand for just a moment as he hummed;

“Then, I’m glad to have made you have a good time…”

“…Now…Now you want to talk about my mum…?” Satoshi breathed slowly through his nose panic flaring through his system as he realised that he wanted to talk about her. He wanted to say things that he had only ever told his sister before.

“Nope, I’m perfectly happy sitting here staring at you, Oh-chan…But if you want to talk about her then I will listen…And happily…You’re not forcing anything on me, Oh-chan…And what you tell me will never go any further than you want it to…”

“Not even your friend?” Satoshi asked nervously sucking on his lower lip was curling his fingers around the cup of tea in his hands. It felt like a strange question but Nino looked understanding as he answered;

“Not you told me you didn’t want me to…”

“…I want to tell you though sensei…At least some of it…”
