A not so hopeless crush part 54
Jun sat in a tense silence with Nino’s sister and the other man who appeared to be a banker. He honestly couldn’t understand what the two people in front of him saw in each other as their faces and out looks appeared to be so different but there was a happy look in each of their faces which stated quite clearly that they were in love and they didn’t give a flying monkey what anybody else thought about it. The man, who he had been politely introduced to as Hiro, gave him a smile saying;
“I’m really happy to meet you! My sister is a huge fan!”
“Thank-you...” Jun smiled bobbing his head in an awkward bow feeling that strange sense of awkwardness that came from meeting fans in a private setting. Okay the man in front of him wasn’t a fan but there was a tension when people said that even if it was only because they were being polite. It was more awkward this time as these two had just caught him after making love to Nino and the tension was already to the ceiling. Thankfully Etsuko rolled her eyes and nudged the suited man’s arm saying;
“If there’s one thing my Hiro knows what to, that’s making an awkward moment even more awkward…”
“…What? It’s true my sister is a fan…” Hiro huffed flushing hotly before Etsuko rolled her eyes and gave him a fond smile even though she still managed to look mildly apologetic. “Was I being awkward? I didn’t mean to be, it wasn’t like I suggested ringing her right now and handing the phone over…Sorry if I made it awkward…”
“It’s okay…Um…What do you do? I mean for a job?” Jun said hoping that Nino would return soon as he tried to make small talk hoping that Etsuko wouldn’t get it into her head to tease him about what had happened in the bedroom. Hiro gave him a small smile and a roll of his shoulders in a shrug saying;
“Just a regular salary man…”
“I see…And how did you meet?” He asked deciding that he might as well get to know the family while he was waiting for Nino to change knowing from experience that the man took a long time and he imagined that it would be taking even longer now that he was nervous. He half wanted to go and check on him but he kept himself sat down waiting for the answer which came only a few minutes later as Hiro said;
“Etsuko-chan and I met in school ne? I was the nerd and Etsuko was the school princess…”
“Hiro was the only guy that didn’t hit on me…” Etsuko laughed her arm wrapping around her boyfriend’s waist as her head came to land on his shoulder and Jun could easily see why she would be considered the school princess. Although, in his opinion, she wasn’t as attractive as Nino she was cute with perfect features that she normally made look more serious than she was. Now with a smile on her face and a soft expression in her eyes she looked more approachable than she had the last couple of times that he had seen her “He was the school president and of course I was intrigued and it was refreshing…I got him to tutor me in math and we started dating...”
“Wow…Cute story…” Jun smiled about to ask another small talk type question when Nino’s door opened and he came out wearing the pink dress that Jun had picked out for him. He had a strawberry blonde wig on to match and his eyes had become blue with colour contacts making him look like a western porcelain doll. In his hands was a teddy bear with a ribbon attached to her ear and Jun very nearly wolf whistled. He stopped himself at the last moment though and said honestly “You look incredible…”
“Your outfit…Does it suit me as well as you’d like?” Nino asked doing a small turn, causing the fabric of the dress to ruffle and swish against his legs and Jun was almost sure that if Etsuko and Hiro weren’t there he could have made love to his lover again over the sofa. As it was he kept his expression as calm as he could as he grabbed his hand and whispered with all sincerity;
“You look better than I could have thought…You look incredible…”
“The pink will take some getting used to…” Etsuko whistled approvingly clapping her hands together before she and Hiro started arranging the room in a well-practiced way that it told him that they had helped his lover out more than once with his videos. “Okay…I don’t think you should be too confrontational with the company…Just explain that it was artistic differences and that they wanted you to go in a direction that you weren’t comfortable with…Okay?”
“Okay…I’ll do my best!” Nino said looking completely terrified and Jun got over his nerves and embarrassment to kiss his forehead and say;
“You’ll be perfect…”
