Nino caused mentally as Satoshi left the room and closed the door behind him. Kimi gave him an awkward smile before sitting down in the chair looking around the room for a moment or two before she cleared her throat and whispered;

“I’m glad you’re okay, Nino-kun! When it was announced that you were sick again…Um…”

“Thanks for coming Kimi-chan…And I’m sorry…About what you saw…” He muttered lamely. He knew that the girl had had a crush on him even if he had tried to ignore it in the hopes that it would go away. She gave a smile and shook her head flushing a little as she said;

“Huh-uh! It’s fine! Your boyfriend is really cute!”

“…He is…” Nino replied happily before flushing and looking down at the homework that she had provided. Even though there was little chance of him going to college after school he still liked to do as much as he could in the hopes that maybe one day he could have that dream fulfilled. Thanks for bringing this…were there any notes?”

“Some I added them in already but I'm pretty sure for you it's all pretty much self explanatory…um you must think I'm a right idiot…” she said with a very small chuckle and Nino blinked looking at her in surprise as he shook his head saying honestly;

“Huh? No I don't..”

“So you're going to tell me that you didn't know I had a crush on you…?”

“N-no I’m not going to say that but I un I don't think it makes you an idiot…I was going to tell you the truth…I'm gay…” he said his heart skipping a beat. Kimi gave another brighter laugh nodding as she replied;

“I should hope so from the way you were kissing that guy! Wow! I was so embarrassed…Nino-kun what do you think of me honestly?” She asked directly and Nino lapped at his lips before chewing on the inside of his cheek as he studied her. It was a bold and direct question and it deserved a answer that was just as bold and direct and slowly he cleared his throat saying;

“I think you're an incredible musician, the second best in the school district and by far the best girl, you're bright and funny…” he said surprising them both with his honesty and Kimi gasped audibly as her eyes became glassy “though you like to dumb yourself down a lot because you think that you would intimidate guys if you showed them just how smart you were and I think you're one of my best friends and if I wasn't gay I would have asked you out…”

“Wow! Th-thanks!” The girls breathed awkwardly her cheeks flaming a bright red as she started to fidget in her chair. Nino had to admit that he was feeling a little awkward himself but he knew that it was down to his near death experience again. there was no way that he would have said any of that if he were thinking straight.

“You asked…you'll find a great guy…” He hummed reaching out to squeeze her hand while she looked a little disbelieving “you will! Jun likes you…”

“Liar!” She whispered eventually “there is no way…”

“I'm not lying…he does…you should go for it!” He grinned hoping his brother would forgive him his interference.
