A not so hopeless crush part 34

Nino chewed on his lip his heart dancing against his ribs as his confession sailed off into the air. He knew that it was too soon. That they had only just started dating but he had known him at the very least of him for so long that it felt as though they had been together for longer. The silence stretched for so long that he was starting to feel painfully uncomfortable. He was about to pull away when he heard a snort which he quickly realised was a snore and he chuckled a little his heart relaxing as he hoped that his ill-judged confession had gone unnoticed by Jun. He settled down again and closed his eyes his head resting on the narrow but well-formed chest and slung his arm over his stomach breathing in the scent of his aftershave and allowing himself to drifting off to sleep.

The next morning Nino woke with a jerk and a snort uncomfortably aware that he was being watched. He moaned a little as his neck ached from sleeping in a twisted awkward positon on Jun’s bed. He picked himself up and realised that his head was also aching dully from the alcohol that he had consumed and he was glad that he hadn’t had too much of it. He breathed through his nose and then looked towards the eyes that were watching and as he had expected it was Jun who was sitting against his headboard puffing on an e-cigarette. The scent was a soft one of vanilla and he had to admit that he was surprised that Jun was using one but he supposed that there was a lot that he still had to learn about his boyfriend. Jun finished with the vaper and placed it over on the bedside table giving him a smile and saying almost sheepishly;

“I’m trying to quit smoking…The patches and hum didn’t work…Is your head okay?”

“…Not as bad as it could be…You?” Nino breathed glad that Jun hadn’t seemed to have heard him the night before. He rubbed his eyes a little as Jun rolled his shoulders in a shrug answering him softly with;

“…At least I’m not throwing up…I think Masaki is living in my bathroom…”

“Is he okay?” Nino chewed nervously on his lower lip once again glad that he hadn’t drank too much the night before knowing how badly he could get with alcohol in his system and he doubted that his blooming relationship with Jun was ready to face that.

“Yeah…He’s got Sho running around after him…Nino…” Jun reached out and grabbed his hand pulling him up against his chest his arms wrapping around him tightly and Nino gave a breath loving the feeling of Jun’s hands moving up and down his back. Lips pressed into his hair and he kissed the bare patch on Jun’s chest before his skin prickled when Jun said slowly “I think I’m in love with you too…”

“Eh?!” Nino gasped pulling out of the hug to look up at him with his face burning brightly as he said in a rushed out a quick “You…You…Heard that?”

“Yeah…Wasn’t I meant to?” Jun’s smile was almost as nervous as he was feeling and Nino swallowed down a lump saying slowly;

“…I thought I was being stupid for saying it too soon…”

“…It’s…Strange…” Jun admitted softly his lips against the pulse point on his neck “But…I think…I mean it feels right…Besides…There is no right or wrong in falling in love, right? Everyone does it at their own pace and in their own way…” Nino shivered and closed his eyes resting the back of his head into the groove of his neck.

“I didn’t think that anyone could fall in love with me…I have a lot of strange kinks…And ways…” He mumbled and Jun squeezed him tightly around the waist.

“I was in love before…Or at least I thought I was…He was older than me another Johnny’s…I…I had just realised that my crush on Sho wasn’t going to go anywhere…”

“You had a crush on Sho?” Nino asked as surprised by that as he was that Jun had been in love before. He turned to look at him and Jun flushed a little pink. It wasn’t much but it was cute and he couldn’t resist the urge to reach up and stroke at his cheek.

“…He was cute…It wasn’t that big a deal…It was just a passing thing…But the other guy...I genuinely thought I was in love with him…”
“What happened?”

“He took personal photos of us and threatened to sell them…Arashi was just starting out we had just had our first number one…It would have killed us before we started…” Jun sighed and Nino gave a nod knowing how that must have felt his heart went out to young Jun and he did the only thing that he could think of which was to reach out and wrap him in a tight hug. “After that…I didn’t want to fall in love again…I didn’t even fancy people and then I saw you…I love you you…I don’t care if people think it’s too soon…”
