“No…you haven't got a snowball’s chance in hell…” Satoshi spat from his side of the table glaring at his lover who had been grinning happily as though he had just thought of something completely amazing. “Not going to happen…”

“You're doing that thing again where you think that you know better than me…” Nino growled his eyes narrowing and losing the light that they had held a few minutes ago. Satoshi found himself looking at Toma and Jun in the hopes that they would support him but he was met with grim stony faces that told him that they were prepared to risk it. “We want to catch these bastards don't we? Or do we want them to vanish into the mists of time? I don't! I want them caught…I want them punished…”

“You don't have to get involved…” Satoshi told him wishing that they were alone very uncomfortable in being this frustrated in front people that weren't Nino. He enjoyed presenting himself as completely unflappable and calm but now he was completely ruffled and he didn't like it. Nino didn't care though his eyes boring holes into his as if he could actually see into his soul. It wasn't something that he enjoyed but he was learning to with Nino and he hoped that he could read the fear and the panic he could feel and he half wished that he hadn't said anything but he had hoped for some support from Matsumoto who clearly thought of Nino as a son he'd never had even if he was funny in how he showed it.

“Too late I already am…if I'm with you at the club when they attack surely that's better than them just waiting for me? At least this way they would be playing our trap and not me in theirs…” Nino huffed and Satoshi blinked berating himself for having not thought of that. All these times that Nino had been walking around alone he had presented as a victim and it was only luck that hadn't got him killed so far. “it makes sense…you know it does you're just being stupidly stubborn…” Nino hummed softly before daring the wrath of Jun and reaching over the table to play with his fingers “I'll be fine…this can all be over sooner…”

“I still haven't agreed with this plan yet Ninomiya…” Matsumoto barked softly offering Satoshi a glimmer of hope which was squashed when Nino gave a little smirk that tilted his mouth and caused his eyes to sparkle again as he said brightly;

“But you will, you want these people caught as much as anyone…Sir…” He said softly “You wouldn’t want this to become a black mark on your record…I know you have little faith in my abilities, sir, but I can do the job…”

“…I have no doubt that you can, Ninomiya but I am not happy to be putting you in this position…” Jun barked and Satoshi sighed brushing his thumb over Nino’s knuckles gently as Nino said stiffly;

“You’re not, sir…I am the only one that can do this…After all I’m the only one that fell in love with Satoshi…” Satoshi’s eyes moved over the proud little face wondering if he knew that he had actually told him that he was in love with him. He hadn’t actually done that before. He had simply told him that he was falling in love with him and now it seemed that he had done do. He wished that he could have heard that in private where he could have done something about it. “…I need to be the one that does this…”

“Fine but you better listen to me on this…”
