Your Grace part 92
Aug. 13th, 2016 11:07 amPhoenix was bored. He had been left in the tent and after pecking at the threads of the bedding and trying to get into the bag of food where his boy had left it he was still bored. He wasn’t accustomed to boredom if that was what it was. He had grown spoiled by the amount of time he was allowed to stay with his boy and the other one. The one that thought it was okay to keep touching his boy. He didn’t mind the other one that much, he made his boy smile and laugh and that was good. His boy was special he deserved to smile but now they had left him and he was bored and worried…And hungry as he couldn’t get into the bag. It had been tied securely and he didn’t want to break it. It had been a gift for his boy from one of the younglings and he didn’t want to ruin it not when it had made his boy happy.
He jumped off the bed and bobbed over the floor hoping that he could find a way under the carpets to find some juicy worms. They weren’t as nice as the food that his boy gave him but wiggling worms was better than nothing. He would have a wiggly worm and then he would go find his boy. His boy would take away his boredom. As long as his boy wasn’t hurting. He seemed to be hurt a lot. His boy talked to him all the time telling him about what had happened and he wanted to help. He wanted to go and peck the bad man with his beak until he hurt as much as his boy did. He was still only little though so the pecking would have to wait. He would grow bigger and stronger and then he would go and peck the eyes of the man that had hurt his boy. But first a wiggly worm.
His claws picked at the corner of a carpet and he picked it up honking happily when he saw that there was a patch of soft earth and that the wiggly worm would soon be his. He pecked frantically at the earth digging into it over and over until finally he got his wiggly worm. He slurped it down and then waddled over to the flap of the tent glad that he could slip through. The camp was almost deserted and he flapped his wings lifting himself up into the air. He could hear Dragon flying around but he shut it out. The fire bird was fun to play with but now he wanted his boy and he would happily hurt anybody if he was hurting. He flew around the camp a few times and then heard the sounds of voices including his boy’s. Happily honking he started towards it and then hovered honking a little more softly when he felt anger coming up from the gathered crowds.
He couldn’t understand what was going on but he knew that his boy was sad and he couldn’t have that.
