The Alpha and the Omega part 186
Ohno chuckled in delight as he watched Nino, Masaki and the younglings in his pack playing around in the stream. They all had jars in their hands as they tried to capture the little creatures that were swimming in the stream. They were making too much noise for them to capture anything but the silliest of creatures but they were all having fun and for all the adults that were watching that was the most important thing. It was clear to Ohno that almost all of the parents hadn’t expected their children to be laughing so easily but Ohno had confidence in his mate. The more he thought about it the more he believed that Nino was an Alpha-Omega. They were said to be almost impossible…More so than an alpha-alpha but there were rumours of them popping up every now and then and in his mind that was what his lover was.
“…The second…Is unique…” A voice said pulling his gaze from the sight of those on the back to look at the woman that had spoken. Her face was lightly pinched and her lips looked almost sore from biting on them and Ohno gave her a smile nodding slowly his chest lifting with pride at her words.
“He is…” He agreed and the woman relaxed just a little her eyes going to the scene on the bank and Ohno had the feeling that she had a history with alpha’s, or at least one alpha, even if she hadn’t currently been in a pack and he forced himself to relax and be friendly refusing to act like most alphas that he knew namely his parents. As always he couldn’t remember her name, names had always had a way of escaping him but he tried to be friendly and open as possible “…I have thought so for a while…”
“Have…You been mated long?”
“Only a couple of months…” Ohno answered smiling a little at the audible gasp that she let out. He knew that it was strange, more so because Nino was such a vocal little brat more so this morning but he didn’t mind it was just his way of being Nino and he loved it. “…We met purely by chance when he was just starting his omega heat…”
“I…See…And now it is all happiness?”
“…It wasn’t at first but we worked through it…” Ohno’s heart pinged a little with a sudden unexpected sadness as he thought about his early relationship with Nino. It hadn’t been all bad but there were moments when he honestly thought the omega would just hate him utterly and completely “Nino gave me a chance and I’m happy that he did…”
“Why are you talking over there? Is everything okay?” Nino’s voice floated through his mind gently and Ohno nodded turning to look at his lover who smiled his head cocking to one side “Are you too busy to join me?”
“Never…” Ohno answered mentally before turning to the woman at his side “Sorry…But I will go and join my mate…”
“Of course…Thank-you…For talking to me, alpha…” she breathed dipping her head and shoulders into a bow and Ohno placed a hand on her shoulder and gave a gentle squeeze determined to play the part of a good alpha as he breathed;
“Any time…Go have fun…I intend to…”
“Yes, alpha…” The woman gave a smile and Ohno jumped up from the tree stump he had been sitting on and hurried over to his lover not caring that he ran through the water to do it. Nino let out a slightly startled cry as he was picked up and spun around. But Ohno could feel that their bond was singing with happiness as their mouths met and he enjoyed this perfect moment.
