Nino smiled happily when he saw Satoshi resting with his back against a truck a plume of smoke leaving his mouth. He knew that Satoshi was going to quit, or so he had told him last night, but there was something a little bit cool, and sexy, about the sight of the smoke and the rings that were circling around his head. The leather jacket and tattered jeans helped with that image and Nino was almost embarrassed by the fact that he was staring when Masaki jabbed him in the back. He gave a cry and turned to glare at his friend who grinned and winked before walking forward boldly towards Satoshi who had been pulled out of his day dream to look around at them. A steady smirk stretched over his lips as his eyes flashed with desire as they moved over him and he purred;

“Hey, Nino…”

“…Hey-lo…” Nino muttered once again feeling very foolish for the way his voice squeaked when he had been able to talk to the older man for most of the night via text. Ohno didn’t seem to mind though as his smirk grew and he pressed out his cigarette into the little ash tray that he must have taken out of the truck. He strolled over to him and took his hand again their fingers linking as he looked at Sho and Masaki who were hovering in the background.

“You must be Nino’s friends? I know Masaki-kun…But you…”

“Sakurai Sho…We were at school together I was in the year above you…” Sho said stiffly holding out his hand and Satoshi’s lips twisted into another smile as he took it shaking it slowly as he kept hold of Nino’s hand.

“Should I call you sempai?” He joked weakly somehow managing to look nervous as though he was determined that this was going to go well. It wasn’t an expression that he had been expecting to appear on the biker’s face and for Nino it felt that he wanted it to work for him and he couldn’t resist the urge to gently squeeze at his fingers while Sho barked;

“Just Sakurai is fine…”

“Sho-chan!” Masaki whined on cue his eyes rolling dramatically as he grasped a tight hold of his lover’s arm and bounced up and down completely ruining the stiff formal image that Sho had been going for. “Stop being silly! You already forced yourself on Nino’s date so you can stop acting like a silly idiot!”


“Ki…” Sho sighed his face relaxing at the words and Nino gave a chuckle deciding that it was best to ignore the idiot pair turning to the van. It was a beat up machine with pockets of rust decorating the paintwork while a faded name declared the name of what he assumed was Satoshi’s uncle.

“…No Arashi?”

“Not today…It would be hard for us and the fishing equipment on the bike…” Satoshi shrugged pulling his eyes away from the SakurAiba pair to look at the truck his foot darting out to kick at the tyres “So we’re stuck with the rust bucket today…Um your friends…They…Have a car of their own right?”

“Yeah…”

“So they can follow behind?” Satoshi asked his eyes going to Sho who was recovering from whatever it was Masaki had said to him while they weren’t paying attention. The older man gave a sort of reluctant nod and Nino let out a sigh of relief which quickly turned into horror when Sho asked briskly;

“Nino do you have your medication?”

“Medication? Is something wrong…?” Satoshi asked and Nino swallowed giving an awkward smile as he tugged his hand free so he could run them both through his hair as he hoped and prayed that Satoshi wouldn’t react too badly to what he was about to say.

I don't think of Sho as a jerk. He is just overly cautious n concern for his lover's best friend. N I think it is a brilliant move on how he makes sure that Nino tells about his heart condition.
