“Okay, from now until I change the rules I want you to repeat them every night and morning” Nino declared clapping his hands together when the pair had carefully copies down what he had written and then folded the papers away. Kyou looked the most relieved and also the most covered in ink as it was staining his left cheek and both his hands. “Kyou-kun go wash your hands and face and then come back here…I’ve decided to teach you some actual healing…”

“Really?!” Kyou asked jumping up from the floor his eyes shining and his mouth wide to show his gapped teeth and Nino chuckled glad that even Harumi seemed to be excited as well.

“Really, now hurry up…”

“Yes, sir!” The boy said almost skidding on the floor as he hurried to do as he was told and Nino made a mental note to ask that boiled water be brought at 15 minute intervals throughout the day in future. It wouldn’t do for them to have to keep running back and forth from the kitchens. It was a lengthy trip every time but he had to make sure that he lessoned the chances of spreading something that could have been washed away by washing and boiled water. Washing their hands was the main thing that he wanted the villagers to learn and he suppose it started here in this room.

“Harumi will you help me?”

“Yes, sensei…” The girl agreed softly in a breathy whisper getting to her own feet and coming to stand in front of him with her head bowed and Nino realised that one of the first things he was going to have to do with Harumi was to install some confidence. He had decided at some point in the night that he should teach his apprentices the art of bandaging, it was a simple enough thing to do, he had practiced bandages as a child by wrapping torn cloth and toilet paper around his stuffed bears and soldiers so he knew that it was something that these two could do but before that they had to have bandages to work with.

“We need to rip up these kimonos into long straight strips…” He told his female apprentice softly lightly touching at the clothes Ohno had willingly donated to the cause with his fingertips. They were just dull grey things but it was still a nice gesture on the lord’s part and Harumi was looking horrified at the idea of ripping them up but she was soon joining in and it wasn’t long before Kyou was back and they had a nice pile of stripped cloth to use. “Okay Kyou you can join in too now; I need to start rolling them into bundles…Like this…”

“Is this healing?”

“Yes! I promise!” Nino sighed wondering if he had been as enthusiastic and almost annoying as Kyou was. With a pout on his face he did as he was told and even Yurara tried to help but ended up getting tangled in it looking pouty and confused when it was on her head. “Right! Kyou…Sit on one of the beds and pretend that you’ve injured your arm…”

“Which one?”

“It doesn’t matter either one will work…” Nino answered with a roll of the eyes glad when the boy did as he was told gripping at his arm “Okay, when you are going to bandage someone the first thing you are going to want to do is reassure them…So, Kyou-kun…I promise that this isn’t going to hurt, okay? Just relax and we’ll have you fixed up in no time!”

“Okay sensei!”

Imaginery pain?? Ummm.. somehow that feels real awkward. It's probably bit bad, but it is much easier if they got patient and Nino can demonstrate it so they can demonstrate it later to each other.

But oh well. :D

I suppose they should learn basic injury healing, like bandanging, the ointment or herbs :))
