Break-ups and New meetings part 96
Nino smirked as his boyfriend came out from behind the bush looking a little shamefaced and red around the gills. His hand somehow managed to look almost casual as it scraped through the tangled mess of his hair and Nino felt an inappropriate stirring in his lower half as he watched him. It was impossible to describe how much he desired, and loved, the older man. So much had changed in such a short space of time and he was truly terrified that it was all going to go wrong like it had before but he was determined to follow it through.
“Spying on me?” Nino asked reaching out a hand to his lover who came to sit beside him still looking a little guilty as he looked at Ohno who appeared to be off in a world of his own again. Nino still wasn’t sure why the man had felt the urge to come to him to confess but it had felt nice that he had been trusted with something that Ohno obviously hadn’t told anybody else.
“I’m sorry for eavesdropping, Ohno-san…” Jun mumbled bowing politely as he could and Ohno shook his head his own cheeking going a little pink as he fidgeted nervously now looking like he wanted nothing more than to be back at his painting but he managed to whisper;
“It’s okay…”
“He just can’t be apart from me for more than five minutes…”
“As delightful as you are, Nino…I was actually hoping for a smoke…” Jun muttered waving the packet around a little as if trying to defend himself against his accusation his cheeks still a bright crimson and he lightly pressed up against him his head resting on his shoulder as he stole one of the cigarettes from his lover’s pack making yet another mental note to quit eventually. He had cut down considerably since moving in with Jun and his chest was thanking him for it. Jun didn’t mention his theft just lit his lighter as Ohno toddled back over to his canvas whistling lightly under his breath. “…Is all your work finished?”
“There is nothing left but the actual launch party…All I’ve been doing is helping everyone else…Trying to claw back some respect…” He mumbled. His teammates had stopped being so hostile to his face now that the rumour of his three-year relationship had spread far and wide but it was slow going and he knew they were still talking about him behind his back. Jun made a noise and quickly he smiled shaking his head quickly “…It’s fine…Honestly don’t go saying something…”
“I won’t…But are you sure you’re okay?”
“I’ve survived worse…Honestly, I’m fine Jun…Everybody is getting there” He sighed with a very small nod making sure that Ohno’s eyes were on the canvas he was working on before he risked a small kiss on the corner of Jun’s mouth. Jun smiled returning the kiss with one of his nose before they both settled back into the chair with Nino’s head still resting on the very comfortable shoulder both smoking in silence until Jun broke it softly by whispering;
“Hana telephoned asking that I fulfil my part of the deal you struck…”
“Oh? And did you?” Nino asked back his voice not even a whisper not wanting to draw Ohno’s attention over to their conversation. He wasn’t comfortable with lying to Ohno but at the moment it was still an extremely awkward situation. Jun looked almost affronted by the mere suggestion that he wouldn’t uphold his end.
“Of course I did…As long as she’s out of our lives for good…Come on…Back to work…”
“Yes, sir!”
