"The scan shows that your brain is completely clear of anything abnormal…The scar tissue that had been there from the previous tumour has almost completely gone…” The doctor said with a bright smile pointing at the image on the screen of his brain. It was almost the same as the one that he had seen as a child but this time there was no red taint and no lump. In fact he was sure that it was a healthy and happy looking brain. Relief made its way through his body slowly taking it’s time to visit each and every part of him in turn while his eyes went to Kazu who was looking at the screen just as intently as he had been “I understand that you still have moments of weakness in your hands but given the size of the lump you originally had I am not surprised, the body is an amazing machine but sometimes parts become damaged beyond repair…”

“I understand doctor and given how it could have been I will happily take shaking hands…” Ohno murmured with a smile his none bandaged hand going over to his lover’s holding it tightly their finger interlocking together “Fairy, did you hear? I’m fine…Just like I told you…”

“You…You’re really okay?” Kazu asked his voice nothing more than a broken whisper as a tear ran down his cheek in a slow meander and Ohno could understand him perfectly. His little lover had been tying himself into knots worrying about it to have it all come out perfectly was something emotional and without caring what the doctor thought of them he brought his lover’s hand up to kiss the knuckles slowly before answering him;

“I’m still clumsy, spacy, and I’m more than positive that I’m going to continue to drive you up the wall but other than that, yes I’m really okay, my little fairy prince…”

“I…I was so sure that you were going to be…I dunno…Sick again…I was so worried…” Kazu said in response crying hard now as he turned and almost climbed into his lap his arms around him. “Urgh, this is so stupid…You’re fine so why am I crying?”

“Because you’ve been worried since I had my accident…You’ll be okay soon…” Ohno chuckled kissing his neck as his hands ran up and down his back. He looked up and smiled apologetically at the doctor who gave him an understanding smile and rolled her shoulders in a shrug. “I’m sorry about this sensei, he’s not normally so emotional…”

“It’s okay, I’ve seen it all in here…I’m just glad that today was one of those days when I was able to give good news…Please take as long as you need…” The women responded taking off the horn rimmed glasses that she had been wearing and rubbing her eyes slowly with her thumbs “I think I shall get myself a coffee…Would you like me to send in the other young man who was waiting?”

“Yes…Thank-you, I promise that we will give you your office back as soon as possible…”

“Please…Take your time…” The doctor rose to her feet, putting her glasses back on as she did so, and left the room without another word leaving them alone.
