On Gossamer Wings part 210
“Kazu?” Ohno whispered softly in the dark when he felt somebody slide into the bed beside him and he sighed with happiness when he felt the arms wrap around his waist holding him tightly. After the embarrassing conversation with his father Kazu hadn’t come out of his bedroom for the rest of the night and Ohno had been half expecting him not to come into his room that night. But apparently he had been wrong as the narrow face was pressing into his back as the thin arms held him with surprising strength. “I’m sorry about earlier…I…With your dad…”
“…It’s okay…”Kazu whispered back, his voice so muffled against his shirt that Ohno had to strain to hear him “I was just embarrassed…I’m sorry that I couldn’t lie very well…”
“…It’s fine…I should have known that you wouldn’t be able to…You love your father so much that of course you’re honest…” Ohno chuckled remembering his own inability to come up with the lie that he had prepared when met with Masahiko. He was feeling just as bad for breaking the man’s trust even though they had gone to a hotel. “I have my hospital appointment tomorrow Jun sent me a message…It’s when you’re finished school so if you want you can come…”
“Yes…I’ll be there…” Kazu answered his voice a little louder now his body shifting so he was sitting up in the bed and staring down at him. His face was almost white in the dark his eyes so large they looked like deer’s eyes caught in the headlights and made him look just as innocent, more so with the way his hair was sticking up at odd angles and his cheeks were slightly flushed as he lowered his voice again and asked almost needlessly “You’ll fetch me right?”
“Yes…” Ohno nodded before frowning as he remembered exactly what Jun had said. He let out a sigh and stroked his lover’s side as he corrected himself quickly “Well Jun will…I have to go in a little earlier to talk with the doctor and get checked in and stuff but I promise that I won’t let them show me results until you’re there and you can have your mind put at ease okay?”
“You’re not even the slightest bit worried?” Kazu asked with the slightest of pouts causing Ohno to smile and give the smallest of shrugs.
“Of course I am…” He mumbled wondering if there was anyone alive that wouldn’t be nervous right now but he really was confident that there was nothing out of the ordinary with his brain and he told his lover so the hand continuing to move up and down his side “But honestly…It doesn’t feel the same as it did 17 years ago, I had consistent headaches and sickness…There was some shaking but not that much…”
“So I’m just being a worry wart?” Kazu out a long and steady sigh dropping forward so his forehead was pressed down onto his chest and Ohno chuckled again holding him tightly as he rocked him back and forth.
“Pretty much, yeah…But it’s not like that’s a bad thing…I like you worrying about me…but I’m sure that there is nothing to worry about this time…”
