Sho walked out of the bathroom wearing the just lightly oversized clothes and wasn’t surprised to find Masaki in the kitchen making him the warmed milk. The teen idol really was like a little house wife he thought with a smile that he quickly pushed away reminding himself that he wasn’t here as a date, or even a friend. Masaki had no idea who he was and if he did there would be no smiles.
“Here you go Sho-chan!” Masaki said happily as he turned with two cups of warmed milk “That should help you sleep!”
“…You don’t have to go through so much trouble for me…” Sho smiled looking at the drink that he had often made for his son when he couldn’t sleep. He had never drank it himself but he had heard that it was good for children to help ease them to sleep and his little boy had been proof that it worked as he had always fallen to sleep only a few minutes later.
“It’s no trouble at all, Sho-chan, I like having people stay over” Masaki admitted taking his own drink and sipping it leaving him with a milk moustache clinging to his top lip reminding Sho that even if he was a successful idol now he was still young, not even fully out of school yet. It made him wonder why he was living here in this apartment and not with his family. It was one the few things that people hadn’t been able to find out about the man. He had just appeared out of no-where one day being managed efficiently by Jun and had been easily marketed. Masaki gave him a sheepish smile licking the milk slowly from his lip as he whispered huskily “I like my apartment but it always feels so empty when I’m by myself…”
“You…You’re not used to living by yourself?” Sho probed gently hating himself but wanting to see how much information Masaki would give him and the teen gave an innocent shrug answering him honestly as he motioned for him to follow him back into the living room;
“No…I was brought up in an orphanage…”
“An orphanage? What about your parents…Family?” Sho stammered almost kicking himself at the stupidity of his questions but Masaki just gave a shrug dropping down into the chair and drawing his legs up under him.
“I dunno…I don’t remember them…” Masaki answered before grinning wildly as he husked out “I have the girls though! Tia and Mia…” Sho’s eyes automatically went to the hallway where the photos had been of Masaki with the identical twin girls “They came to the orphanage on my 11TH birthday when they were about one…I named them…I wasn’t allowed to adopt them yet but as soon as I can I will, that’s why I have to work hard…”
“You…You have a loving and trusting heart Masaki…” Sho sighed knowing that even if he could he wouldn’t be using any of that, most people would see it as Masaki being adorable and if Sho was being honest in himself it was. The boy seemed to be perfect, or as close to perfect as it was possible to get.
“...Thank-you…What about Sho-chan? Do you have family?”
“A son…” Sho admitted softly his hand automatically going to his wallet that he had stuffed inside the pocket of the shorts to pull out the crumpled picture of the boy “Shun…He doesn’t live with me though, he lives with his mother…”
“He looks like Sho-chan…But happier…” Masaki smiled as he looked over the picture before handing it back to him. “You and your wife…You don’t get on?”
“…That is an understatement…” Sho laughed bitterly wondering why the hell he was saying all of this to the boy “She hates my guts…I can’t say I blame her…Since I hate my guts too…”
“Sho-chan! You really shouldn’t waste time on hating people, not even yourself...” Masaki hissed dropping out of his chair to come and kneel in front of him with his hands resting on his knees “More so yourself! Because nothing will get better, all it does is make you depressed…You have a good heart Sho-chan, I can see it in your eyes!”
“…You don’t even know me…” Sho growled hating the expression that was in Masaki’s face at that moment “If you knew why…”
