“Wow! This is the boat!” Masaki shrieked loudly grabbing Kazu’s arm and holding him tightly and Kazu nodded trying to smile but finding it impossible with the swirling and whirling that was happening inside of his stomach. He had been surprised that his parents had agreed to let him come but when they were told that Masaki could come as well they had reluctantly agreed to it. Last night he had spent ages going through every outfit that he had in his cupboard before Masaki had gotten up and solved it for him in five minutes before slapping him on the head and telling him that he was overacting and that he should get some sleep. When he had finally gotten to bed sleep had refused to come to him so he had just rolled around trying to get comfortable but it had been impossible. It had been around five o’clock when he had finally gotten to sleep and then he had been rudely awoken by both his alarm and Masaki only an hour later. After a slow start on his part they had finally gotten out of his house at 7 to catch the train so that they could make it to the dock for half past. “It’s amazing! I thought it would be a proper fishing boat!”

“…It’s cool…” Kazu mumbled far too tired and too nervous for a proper conversation with his over excited brother. The gang plank was already down and there didn’t seem to be anywhere that they could ring he stepped aboard. Ohno was on the deck checking over some equipment when they reached it and Kazu cleared his throat nervously watching as he turned around to stare at him, his expression unreadable for a moment or two before he gave a lazy smile and stood up wiping his hand on a ratty pair of jeans.

“Hey, fairy, Masaki welcome to the sea witch…”

“Thanks for inviting me! Your boat is amazing Ohno-sensei!!” Masaki said in a voice that was overly loud for the time of day and Kazu let out a groan in spite of himself his nose wrinkling as he glared at his brother. Ohno gave a chuckle walking over to him his hands resting on his shoulders saying;

“I guess it’s a family trait…”

“What?” Kazu whispered gulping down the quick lump that had formed at the sudden nearness and his cheeks flamed brightly as Ohno moved in a very lightly kissed his cheek before answering;

“Being grumpy in the mornings…Jun’s in the kitchen acting like a bear with a sore head…”

“Kazu’s only tired because he was up all night trying to work out what he was going to wear!” Masaki said cheerfully not caring that he was embarrassing him and Kazu scowled flushing even more brightly as Ohno gave a laugh looking him over slowly taking in the dark stone washed jeans that weren’t too tight but clung snug to his body and then the t-shirt and vest combination that Masaki had picked.

“You would have looked good in anything, fairy…But you look really cute…” He said and Kazu swallowed his stomach filled with nervous butterflies and he was glad when Ohno led them to the opening of the boat saying “Come on let’s have some coffee and then we’ll set out…Okay?”
