Against His Will part 3

Masaki led the way into the table ignoring the fact that he was being led by Yuichi who was positively glowing with the fact that he was no longer going to have to support the ward or the brother as of today he and Nino would no longer be connected to the house Ninomiya which didn't seem as harsh for him as it was for Nino. He was very much prepared for his life with Sakurai it wouldn't be a house as large as the Ninomiya's but it wasn't going to be a paupers lodging either. Sakurai was a captain in the King's army a position that he had earned on his own without his family's influence and as such he had a small holding that wasn't many miles from the castle of the prince Jun, something that delighted Masaki as he would be able to see his friend as many times as they wanted. Though to be perfectly honest he wouldn't want to see him for a while as he was very much looking forward to spending time with Sakurai as a married couple.

With that thought in mind Masaki looked up his eyes blurring out everything and anything that wasn't his soon to be husband. He knew that the temple was lavishly decorated with flowers of all colours and banner that displayed the coats of arms of the Ninomiya's, Ohno-Matsumoto's, as well as a smaller banner bearing Sakurai's coat of arms, as the disowned son he had no right to lay claim to the banner but the man was loyal to a fault and Masaki knew that Sakurai had hopes that one day his father would come around, he had helped to put them up as well as pick the flowers. None of that he saw now his eyes fixed on the amazing man in front of him.

Sakurai had turned to great him and was smiling with that same gentle happy smile that he always wore though Masaki was positive that there was something extra special about it today. His own face was aching with his smile and he didn't resist when Yuichi took his arm and handed him over to Sakurai.

"I give to you for your protection the ward of my household may you be happy in your lives together..." Yuichi said with no trace of stiffness and Masaki was positive that he would be toasting them many times tonight. None of that mattered though as Sakurai smiled even more taking his hand and bringing it to his lips whispering;

"I accept...my household has not much to offer but with you in it, I know that I will own the finest gem...do you accept?"

"I do!" Masaki cried out forgetting the proper speech that he had prepared and he flushed a little when a murmur rang around the temple. "I am honoured to join your house, my Lord..."

"Then stand with me my Masaki and allow the good father to join us..." Sakurai purred tugging him up into the step staring at the father while they waited for Nino.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Nino walked down the almost endless aisle hissing with frustrated embarrassment as he heard the muffled faked whispers of his father's guests saying how well and radiant he looked. If he looked radiant at that moment then he had a different idea of what radiant was. Aiba looked radiant, the man had practically floated down the aisle his smile so wide that Nino was sure that it was going to break his face. He himself looked closer to sick, pale and angry, his father's muffled threat as he took his arm had gone a long way in helping to that.

His tongue ran over his dry cracked lips as he struggled to ignore the sea of faces to look up at the altar. Aiba and Sakurai were already standing on their podium their hands clasped tightly together looking for all the world like the perfect couple they were while another man dressed in a well-fitting tunic of deepest purple with tight black breeches and knee high boots was standing on another looking fixedly at the father. His hair was as black as jet and worn long with the top half pulled back from his face and secured tightly with a length of purple ribbon. He was slim and carried himself straight and tall though he was as tall as Aiba he gave the impression of it.

He was completely different from the king, a man that Nino had met several times in the last few months and he supposed that was why the rumours of his bastard status ran riot even though he was the king’s favourite son. As Nino and his father approached the prince turned and Nino couldn't help but gasp his eyes widening as his mouth dropped open. The man was beautiful there could be no other word for it with his smooth peaches and cream complexion and dark, almost gold, coloured eyes. In the months before his wedding he had wondered why the prince had had to buy a husband and his mind had settled on the only reasonable answer that the man was either ugly or disfigured but it was nothing of the sort and now he was flummoxed.

"Your highness, third son of the king Ohno Satoshi, I give to you for your protection my son, may you be happy in your lives together..." His father said roughly pulling out his arm and handing the prince his hand. Nino shivered at the touch of the fingers and he bit his tongue looking into the face of the prince as he spoke.

"My household welcomes you, I offer you all that I have and all that I will become..."

"I...I...accept and I am happy to be welcomed to your household..." Nino lied his heart feeling like a hammer against his ribs now as he was tugged easily up and away from his father to stand on the podium beside his soon to be husband as the man said;

"Then stand with me and allow the father to join us..."
