Lord Ohno Satoshi laughed as he watched his children, Satoru and Kazuhiko, running around the garden around the fish pond. Well Satoru was running while Kazuhiko was limping behind him as fast as his little legs could take him. It was six months since they had returned to the castle and each and every day was lived in complete peace and happiness. Each day he would wake and thank every known god for granting him this happiness
“Are you enjoying yourself, my love?” His lover and life mate asked coming to stand behind him his arms wrapping his arms around him a light but loving kiss being pressed to his cheek and Ohno sighed with his happiness feeling more complete than ever to have his lover pressed against him.
“I am, very much so…How was your training session with Hotaru…?” He asked and Nino nodded letting out a hum;
“Un…I believe that she will surpass me before long, I…I confess that my desire to learn diminished when the boys entered my life, hers is still strong…” he admitted and Ohno had to agree, Nino’s only reason for training had been to prove that he was a man in spite of all his training in the Garden but once he had discovered the joy of being a mama while recognising the strength he had inside already he hadn’t needed that any more. He still trained but it was always more for fun and as exercise than because he needed it. Hotaru still had a great deal of anger inside but Ohno hoped that she was doing it mostly for fun.
“She still has much anger but I believe that now she learns for the joy of learning…” He told his lover who laughed lightly,
“She learns for the pleasure it gives you to see her do well, but she will be a good successor to you, my love, her future husband will be proud to have her by his side…”
“Mama! Mama!” Kazuhiko shouted hobbling over to them his tiny face flushed with happiness his arms out stretched. Gone was the gaunt little figure that looked two seconds away from death, Kazuhiko was chubby and happy with a flushed and ruddy complexion, just the way that a young child was meant to be. Nino laughed loudly and Ohno had to admit to feeling jealous as Nino pulled away from him to open out his arms. Kazuhiko threw himself against him and Nino was soon raining kisses down onto his face while the boy laughed and giggled wriggling around in his arms. “Papa kisses!” the boy said happily his arms opening out to him and Ohno chuckled getting to his feet and giving him light kisses.
“I want a kiss too!” Satoru shouted running over and throwing his arms around his waist his face smacking painfully into his stomach. Ohno gave a laugh and picked up his son and heir spinning him around and around a few times before placing a kiss to his forehead and then passing him over to Nino who placed a kiss in the same spot.
“Father, Mo-Kazu…” Jun called and the family turned to see the formerly mute and introverted boy running towards them followed by Sakurai and Aiba with their girls.
“I think that we might be having a party…” Nino whispered in Ohno’s ear before kissing his cheek and turning to smile at the young family. The girls had blossomed under his friends care and Nino could already see that the twins were going to be heart breakers when they were older. Their hair shone brightly falling around their happy faces and both were dressed in simple greys and light blues that had some stains on the fronts showing that they had been helping out with the potions before coming here.
“Uncle Satoshi, Uncle Kazu…” Shoko said loudly as she waved her hand frantically while her calmer and shyer sister smiled bowing her head a faint blush on her cheeks.
“Hello girls…” Nino called tucking Kazuhiko onto his hip and walking over to them placing light kisses onto their foreheads, “Have you been busy?”
“Yes! We were helping father and Papa make lotions for the old people’s chests!” Shoko announced happily lifting up her hands and showing off her stained fingers. “We are getting good at the mixing, ain’t we?”
“Yes, you are both doing amazingly…” Aiba said proudly his cheeks glowing with their success his hands coming to rest on their shoulders. “Right Sho-chan?”
“Right” Sho smiled looking just as proud his partner and Ohno could see that he was another one that couldn’t believe the good fortune that had filled his life. Hotaru and Miura came from the house next and Ohno decided that his lover was right it had turned into a party and he found that he didn’t care. He loved it all, the noise and the people. More so since the villagers felt that they had the right to stroll into his garden as if it were a public place and not his private residence.
“You look happy my lord” A female voice said softly and Ohno didn’t even need to turn to know that it would be his friend. Fuwa, her lover and child all lived in the village now a small house of their own but they like everyone came when they felt like it and Ohno could finally tell that he had a surprising amount of friends.
“I am, my friend, very happy…My father would be turning in his grave…” He said with a lot of happiness in his voice as he looked at his friend who was cradling her daughter against her chest. It was a sight that he had never expected to see but one that suited his friend well. Fuwa let out a laugh and patted his shoulder with her undamaged hand her head tilting to one side as she told him;
“But your mother would be watching with a proud smile, my lord…I hope that it is okay that we stopped by, Satomi required a walk and she always enjoys the fish in your pond…”
“You know that you never need an excuse my old friend, though Hotaru is hoping that one day you will feel able to train her…” Ohno said in a soft tone looking over at his daughter who was playing around with Miura. “Kazunari has been training her to be more graceful so she can handle a Naginata…”
“I would love to do so…My body is recovered and I would love to train again…I will go and speak with her now…Be well my friend…” Fuwa said walking off towards the girl in question and Ohno allowed himself to bask in the happiness that filled him as he said;
“Be well”
“You are looking decidedly pleased with yourself my love…” Nino laughed as he came back to his side Kazuhiko in his arms his head resting against his chest. Ohno grinned wrapping his arms around him and resting his chin on his shoulder his hands stroking up and down the boys bad leg as he kissed his neck.
“I am very pleased with myself…Very” He said with a nod and another happy sigh complete contentment washing over him as he listened to the sound of his family talking. Yes this was definitely his happiness.
