“This museum...How...” Sho gasped softly looking up at the building he had been brought to. It was a large modern building with large glass windows and steel frames. Nino chuckled beside him, his hand tight about his. It was a place that he had always wanted to visit, it had some of the best collections in the world, even the artefacts in the British museum couldn’t compare to what was inside here. Sadly the building looked closed and that was confirmed when they reached the doors and the sign declared as much. “It’s closed”

“Yes, thank-you, Lils” Nino purred looking at his ex-wife with something close to affection and Sho got the feeling that he was missing something.

“You’re welcome, darling” Lilith chuckled taking out a pass card from somewhere, he didn’t want to ask where but the rustling of her top gave him the impression of the pass having been in her bra, she pressed it to a security box and then keyed in a number which caused the door to click loudly. “Welcome to my museum, Sho”

“Your...Your museum?” Sho gasped in amazement looking at the woman in disbelief. Of all the things that he imagined the woman doing running a museum, the best museum in the world, wasn’t one of them. In fact, he had rather thought of her owning a gentleman’s cub or even a whorehouse. He suddenly felt embarrassed for thinking that of her.

“Yes, this is my happy little home away from home” Lilith answered ushering them inside. Her heels clicked on the polished marble floor and Sho followed slowly his eyes going to a beautiful marble statue of an angel with bright golden wings. He was holding a sceptre aloft, which was also golden, and there was a golden halo around his head. It was beautiful, very beautiful, but also familiar and he looked at Nino with a lifted eyebrow. “Ah! You like my statue of Samael?”

“Samael?” For a moment Sho was confused and then he remembered that Samael was the name that Lucifer had had before he had been cast down.

“Why do you still have that?”

“Because it pisses you off, darling, what other reason would I keep it?” Lilith laughed her voice sounding like a tinkling of a bell and Sho blinked slowly as more pieces fell into place in his mind. The name Lilith came to his mind as Adam’s first wife. The one that had been thrown out of paradise for not wanting to be subservient to Adam. His eyes went over to Lilith a strange dizzy feeling growing in his mind as he remembered his dream where Nino had announced that he was Lucifer. Nino’s hand on his tightened gently and Sho blinked again shaking his head slowly as he looked at his lover. Nino was smiling a dimple forming in the corner of his mouth.

“Are you okay?”

“Y-Yes...Yes...” Sho answered trying to calm down his heart. It wasn’t possible, not really, not in real life. “Is Lilith your real name?”

“Humm? A strange question. But no, I choose it when I married Nino. A man who is as terrifying as Lucifer, what other name should his wife have?” Lilith answered with a chuckle and Sho laughed along with her for a moment or two before feeling a little awkward. “The statue’s face was based on Nino...I find it amusing...”

“Yes, you are a little comedian, sweetheart” Nino said dryly rolling his eyes before tugging Sho passed the statue and through the doors beyond the reception desk. “Come on, we have the entire place to ourselves, I fancy that you don’t just want to stand in the foyer...”

“Please be careful. I have switched off the security so you may go anywhere you like but a lot of these pieces are very old and don’t like to be touched” Lilith said behind them and Sho was surprised that she didn’t follow.

“You have a painting of Samael too...In your bedroom...” Sho whispered numbly when they were alone and Nino gave a little chuckle nodding as he said;

“Another gift from Lilith, the artist of both the painting and the statue is a mutual friend of ours so I never have the heart to take it down. He did work on it for a long time after all...”

“He is very talented” Sho breathed remembering the details of the statue and the painting. He had always admired art and artists though he had never in his life even had a hint of talent. Not that it had been encouraged by his parents or by the school. “I’m almost envious, I’ve always wanted to be an artist”

“Ohno Satoshi’s talent in incredible as an artist but he has a rather morose personality that hasn’t improved with age. You on the other hand have many other talents and if I had to pick I would pick your talents over his” Nino purred somehow managing to soothe down Sho’s ruffled feathers. “Come on, let’s enjoy the time around the museum”

“Yes, please...I can’t believe that you managed to do this!” Sho gasped his eyes moving around the sign on the walls trying to decide where he wanted to go to first. The first thing he saw was the record room and he made a note of the floor and then held Nino’s hand tightly as he led him down the steps to the room.

“It is easy to do this when you’re friends with the owner” Nino laughed as he followed him without protest. He said it so easily but Sho was amazed that the man would do all of this for him. In his opinion it was far better than he had been thinking about going to his parents.

The room of records was everything that he could have imagined. Books and papers were everywhere, old, new, even scrolls appeared to be in glass cases. When he had been at school he had never been allowed to handle the old books and he couldn’t believe that Nino handed him a pair of blue gloves and then opened up the cabinets. “Have fun, Sho-kun...”

“Thank-you” Sho breathed taking a large leather bound book that could have been made of human leather, he wasn’t sure, a few books had been at the time and the binding of this book was unlike that he had ever seen before. He carried the book over to the table and sat down in a comfortable chair. It was in Latin but he was able to read it easily having been taught at school. It was probably a boring date for most people but Sho was very happy, and all of his other feelings of confusion left him as he devoured the book from cover to cover.
