“That was great!” Masaki said brightly as they left the interactive ride segment of the Doctor Who experience and handed the crystal back to the assistant that he had taken a photo with earlier. The girl flushed a little at the grin he gave and then mumbled something about him coming back again soon. Or at least that’s what he thought she said it was completely possible that he had misheard her which, given how bad he was at languages that weren’t Japanese, that was completely possible. The ride segment had been not what he was expecting in fact it had been better and he was positive that Shu would have enjoyed it enough to think that new Who had some merits. It had been fun with them going on an adventure with the Doctor, who appeared on screens throughout the adventure offering them advice and plot points. Flying the TARDIS had been a high point even though it was technically meant for the kids in the group. “Did you enjoy it?”
“…Actually I did…The man playing the doctor was good…” Sho hummed as they walked around the set and into the museum and Masaki was glad that they could act normally after he had almost kissed him that morning. It would have been mortifying if he had. Sho had been nothing but kind to him and it wasn’t fair to confuse kindness with genuine emotions.
“Peter Capaldi! He’s great as the doctor ne? Or at least he would be if he had good storylines…! Ah they have the Sontarans! Look! It’s Strax!” He shouted happily seeing a statue of his favourite character from New Who. He thrust his camera in Sho’s direction and then said brightly “Here! Take my picture please!”
“Fine…” Sho chuckled warmly taking the offered camera as Masaki got into place beside the potato headed creature. He pulled a peace sign and grinned as the picture was taken. The look that was in Sho’s face as he looked at him was enough to cause his heart to flutter. Shu had always given him fond looks like a grandpa indulging his grandchild but Sho wasn’t like that. Sho’s expression was warm and familiar almost the same look that he had given him in the hotel room and once more Masaki wondered what it would be liked to kiss by somebody that he actually wanted to kiss. He had received many kisses over the years and not one of them had he wanted but he wanted to kiss Sho and he felt guilty for it when the man had been nothing but nice to him.
“Your turn!” He said pushing Sho into position and the man moved reluctantly to stand beside the statue and pull a pose of his own. He leaned against the statue and folded his arms across his chest in a very doctor like pose causing Masaki to give a giggle as he snapped a couple of pictures making sure to capture the look on his face. “Very cute Sho-chan!”
“Really? Think I could make a good doctor?” Sho asked and Masaki nodded with another giggle snapping another picture just because he wanted to before licking at his lips nervously as Sho took his hand as if it was the most natural thing in the world. Sho didn’t say anything though and led him further into the museum part of the experience which first showed how the idea of the Doctor was created and Masaki used one hand to snap the pictures as he kept his other firmly in Sho’s as though they were dating and not just friends and for some reason he wanted that to continue for as long as he could.
TBC
A/N: I hope that this is okay ^_^
