More than a slave part 33

Ohno tried hard not to flinch as he looked down at his lover noticing the pale lumpy marks that were covering the human. In the space of a night more, far clearer and more threatening, scars had broken out on his making him appear to be almost a road map. The main concentration of them were around his neck, over his heart and around his groin, though there didn’t seem to be a place that wasn’t covered in vicious bite marks. Even his lover’s face had them around his eye and on his cheek and chin around his mole. As Jun had told him if he was left without the change for much longer and the scars would start to open up and the human would die in agony. It was something that was already close and he wouldn’t be surprised if it happened sooner than any of them thought. His arms wrapped around Nino again his head resting on his stomach over a particularly nasty looking lump of scars.

“I wish that I had found you earlier…”

“Me too…” Nino replied sounding sleepy and drained though somehow his hands managed to find their way into his hair and Ohno realised just how much he was trembling against him. It was as though he had been drank from and it was enough to turn Ohno into stone “Found…me…”

“Nino? Nino!” He shouted sitting up and realising, to his utter horror, that one of the bite marks on the back of his lover’s neck had already opened and blood was seeping into the sofa.  His nostrils flared at the scent and his mind grew foggy wanting nothing more than to close his mouth around the wound and lick it but he refused knowing that if he lost himself now he was going to lose Nino. With that thought in mind he pushed himself up from the naked human and looked around as calmly as he could manage for something to stem the flow of blood and found only his shirt. It would work for now, he decided refusing to allow himself to panic “Nino-chan…I need you to stay awake my darling…Come on…Please…”

“…Tired…” Nino breathed his voice sounding gurgled as Ohno tried to move the younger man’s head to wrap around his makeshift bandage but only managing to open up a few more of the delicate wounds around his face and neck.

“I know…And I promise I will let you sleep but not yet…” He whispered ignoring the blood on his fingertips and doing his best wondering why this had to happen tonight on their first date when everything had been going so well. Nino’s eyes opened slowly and somewhat reluctantly and Ohno could see that they were already starting to glaze over. If his heart had been able to beat it would be attempting to force its way out of his ribcage as it was he was just left feeling horrified but refusing to show it. He gave a smile wanting to caress his face but resisted the urge knowing that he would just do more damage “There you are, my love, I’m going to call Jun and Masaki and we’re going to make you better…”

“…-Shi…” Nino whimpered softly as he lifted up his hand to touch at his face and carefully Ohno held it to his cheek his lips ghosting over his wrist lightly not wanting to disturb the scars that were already threatening to open. “If…If I don’t…Survive…”

“You will, I won’t let you die Nino, you can’t leave me now…”

“…Never…Leave…Tired though…I had an…Amazing…Danced…Stars so bright…” Nino whispered sounding a little drunk know and Ohno wanted to pull away desperate to reach his phone but terrified if he moved Nino would leave him. “Love…You…Vampire lord…”

“And I love you…I will love you forever…”
