(MatsuMiya part)
Jun stared into the surprisingly stubborn face surprised at his own lack of anger. He had been belittled and talked down to by somebody that he had thought he was helping but instead of anger he was…Happy and somewhat bewildered that Nino thought that he was caring. It wasn’t a term that he had ever heard in reference to him before and he couldn’t honestly understand how Nino thought that it was the case but he would accept it. He wasn’t sure completely why he even wanted to be thought of as caring, and maybe he didn’t but there was something that made him happy and he gave a gruff nod folding his arms over his chest as he muttered;
“I understand…”
“You do?” Nino whispered looking stunned and as though he had been preparing for more of a fight. His eyes were suspicious but Jun nodded again deciding that he would trust Nino’s judgement for a little on this one even if it was clearly flawed if he thought him to be in any way kind or caring. It wasn’t something that he truly wanted to do but he wanted the awkward conversation with his pseudo father even less and it was only that that was able to make him nod again and growl;
“I understand you’re older than we had given your credit for and you don’t want us to baby you…” He huffed trying hard not to look at Ohno who was nodding along approvingly with his speech “I can understand and accept that…But I will not apologise for my anger at him…So don’t bother asking…”
“I wasn’t…I didn’t think you would apologise…” Nino whispered causing Jun to wonder if he would have fainted if he had agreed to apologise to Sho. It was completely possible that he would have and there was a chance that he might have said he would to test it if Nino wasn’t still recovering from the wound in his stomach and in the end he settled for muttering;
“I won’t…”
“So now that is settled…” Ohno hummed clapping his hands and causing Masaki to jolt out of his thoughts. The man was still looking troubled and Jun sighed knowing that his former employee was going to have to do a lot of soul searching. It was clear, to him at least, that Masaki had started to develop some kind of feelings for the man that he shared his home with, though as to what kind of feelings it was anyone’s guess. Jun suspected that he had forced of a lot of his feelings for Shu onto Sho and now he was having to deal with the fact that Sho wasn’t as perfect as he had been thinking him to be. He shouldn’t care so much about a former employee but Masaki had saved him, had been the one to make sure he didn’t OD and had been the one that had watched over him as he had gone cold turkey to flush the drugs from his system and he felt as though he owed him something for saving his worthless life.
“Masaki…You should head back to Sho…” Nino hummed softly turning back to his friend and placing his hands on his shoulders. “Please…I know that you might not understand but…”
“Of course I understand…I’ve been there…I’ve been that low that I’ve not seen any other way out but…Sho…He…He should have turned you down…He should have helped you…”
“He did…As strange as it seems he did…He could have given me a hand out and I would never saw him again…But he didn’t…He gave me a steady income…Even if it wasn’t conventional…So don’t blame him…Ne?”
