The Storm and the Scorpion part sixty-four

Nino sighed with happiness as their day ended with them sitting on his balcony looking out over the village and the ocean. There were clouds covering the sky preventing them from seeing any stars but it was still warm and with the breeze blowing over his skin Nino felt happier than he had ever been before. It was something that he had been thinking every day, because every day he couldn’t imagine the next becoming better but Jun managed time and time again to prove him wrong.

“We’ll go surfing again in the morning if you’d like, Nino…” Jun told him as he reached between the space between their chairs and took his hand threading their fingers together like a lover would do. His thumb moved over his knuckles and Nino instantly remembered the feel of his lips brushing against his skin. His heart began to beat uncomfortably but he nodded swallowing down a near nervous lump from the back of his throat and whispered his reply;

“Yes, please…”

“When we get back to Japan we’ll have to go every weekend…” Jun let out a happy sounding sigh his hand squeezing at his and Nino looked over at him surprised to see the smile which was gracing his lips. Jun caught him looking and squeezed his hand again “It’s weird for me to be making plans like this when I honestly thought my life was pretty much over after I rescued you…I didn’t consider myself having a future but now I do and I like to think that it’s going to be something amazing because of you…”

Nino stayed silent his heart humming with that strange feeling again. It was like nervous fluttering but it was something so much nicer and he couldn’t stop himself from getting up from his chair and placing himself on Jun’s lap. It was a bold move on his part and he was terrified that he was going to be pushed away but Jun just let out a noise of surprise before holding him tightly and allowing him to rest his head in the crook of his neck.

“Because of you my life is already something amazing…I’m happy that I can do the same for you…” he whispered the feeling of his heart getting stronger as Jun’s hand trailed up and down his side his mouth pressing into his hair as he squeezed him tightly. “I…I want to always make you happy…”

“And I always want to make your life as amazing as you deserve, Kazu…” Jun whispered into the top of his head and Nino smiled finding to both his surprise and amazement that he actually believed him. Nobody had cared for him in the way that Jun had and it was only just the second week of them knowing each other. They stayed that way until the last of the sunlight faded and then Jun picked him up carrying him in doors and stripping away his clothes. For a second Nino was scared that the older man might want something from him but to his delight he was soon dressing him again in his pyjamas and helping him into bed. Jun crawled in beside him wearing only a t-shirt and boxers and Nino curled around him tightly listening to the sound of his heartbeat as he fell into a blissful sleep excited to tell Ohno everything that they had seen and done that day.

A/N: I promise that Nino will eventually want sex with Jun but at the moment he’s loving the fact that Jun isn’t forcing him into anything…I hope that this is okay ^_^

Of course I want them to 'get on with it' xD but is amazing that Nino got to fully believe in Jun and express what he wants to say and do how he feels, they did come along way x'3
