Break-ups and New meetings part 48

Nino was surprised to find himself fully clothed on his bed the next morning knowing for almost certain that he had fallen to sleep waiting…Sitting in the living room working on his account. Dazed he moved around the bed rubbing his eyes with the heel of his hand supposing that Jun had somehow carried him through from the living room. Vague and completely disjointed memories sailed up in front of his eyes but they were soft, like puffs of smoke, too faint to catch and in the end he settled for not remembering them. A loud knock on his bedroom door shifted the last vestiges of sleep from his mind and he dragged himself out of the nest of blankets to run his fingers through his mussed up hair.

“Hello?”

“Ah finally, I’ve been trying to wake you for around half an hour…” Jun informed him through the wood of the door and slowly he looked at the shiny dials of his watch groaning when he saw too his horror that there was only half an hour till they had to be at work. It was completely doable considering how close he now lived but it was going to look suspicious if he was suddenly coming to work with the boss. Okay he had already done that a few times but it had been so early that nobody would have noticed.

“Right…Um…You should get going to work…I’ll be right out…” Nino mumbled back quickly pulling out a clean suit from the cupboard and hurrying out of his room thankfully not blushing like a little girl this time as he saw Jun still in his gym gear smiling at him while holding up his cup filled with steaming coffee.

“It’s okay…” Jun said as Nino took the steaming mug and breathed down the amazingly bitter scent of the coffee allowing it to wash over his synapses before he sipped it with a grateful moan while Jun explained his comment “I’ve got the morning off, the higher ups decided that since we had should a late night last night we deserved it…I’ll still be going in, there’s some calls I have to make that won’t wait till this afternoon but I have more leeway than you…”

“It’s great being the boss…”

“If by great you mean having to listen to boring people talking about their boring lives and pretend to be interested while grinning like a moron then yes I see your point, it’s great being the boss…” Jun’s tone was deeply dry and sarcastic his eyes rolling slowly before he pulled a grimace and once again Nino was left feeling confused and surprised. He had always assumed that Jun would enjoy the big office parties but, as he was learning every day, the reality didn’t match the real image at all.

“You’re good at handling all of that BS though, right? You’ve done it for long enough…”

“I might be good at it but it doesn’t mean I want to hear about any bodies offspring for more than five minutes…But you have to keep them happy…It’s what gets us this really great apartment after all…” Jun smiled easily and Nino felt the blush starting in his cheeks wondering how Jun could always seem to say things like that. It was like they were already a sickly happy couple. Masaki’s oh so joyful voice crept to the forefront of his mind telling him that Jun fancied him as more than a fuck buddy. He was actually thinking that it wouldn’t be a bad idea if he did but he couldn’t believe it. What the hell would Matsumoto Jun want with him that didn’t involve sex? Okay the sex would probably be pretty fantastic…But he had never been the one night or occasional love type of guy and he just knew that when Jun settled down for real it wouldn’t be with him.

A/N: I know I should have gone with cutesy or sexy wake up scenes but…It just didn’t fit with Jun’s seduction for this story >.<

Yeah I was expecting him to wake up in Jun's arms but I understand now that Jun really wants to do things right and Nino can't even imagine being liked b y Jun! Come on Jun, you can do it! I'll be cheering xD
