The Storm and the Scorpion part twenty-nine

“Jun, may I ask you a question?” Nino whispered as they lay on his bed watching the avengers: age of Ultron movie. He hadn't watched the first movie but Jun had and had told him about it. It was the only movie that had caught both of their attention enough to put on and already Nino was lost about which character was which but the action scenes were more than enough to make up for that.

“I've already told you that you may ask me as many questions as you like…” Jun hummed taking some of the toffee covered popcorn from the bag and popping it into his mouth and slowly Nino swallowed down a nervous lump from his throat as he whispered gently;

“Your friend…how did you meet? He…he doesn't seem…to be…in a gang…”

“Because he isn't…” Jun paused the film and sat up a little straighter in the bed turning to look at him taking his hands tightly between his as he continued “He’s a therapist and a good one, he deals mostly with children who have suffered abuse…I met him several years ago when he was still new to the job and living in Japan…And I asked him to speak with you…”

“Me?” Nino whispered his eyebrows drawing together as one of Jun’s hands squeezed at his as the other moved through his hair and down the side cheek as he give a slow nod his pink tongue moving over his lips before his head cocked to one side as he said gently;

“Yes you…I thought that you and he would be able to talk…That there might be some things that you want to tell him that you can’t tell me…” Nino frowned wondering what there could be that he could tell a complete stranger that he couldn’t tell Jun “I promise that anything you say to him he will not tell me…”

“…You are my owner…” He said bluntly and Jun let out a sigh pulling on his bangs before giving a smile that was almost sad before he rubbed the back of his neck tugging him down onto his chest his arms wrapping around him and his voice vibrating through his chest as he murmured;

“Yes I am but because of that there might be things that you can’t tell me…But let’s finish watching the film and then get you to bed, okay?” Nino nodded closing eyes for a moment listening to the sound of his voice and the gentle way that his heart was beating against his ear “We will be wanting to go early to catch the best waves…I’m hoping that you’ll be able to ride at least one wave tomorrow…”

“…You…Yo-you are very op-optimistic…” He whispered his eyes opening again though his hands were gently moving up and down his back before travelling up to touch at his neck which sent shivers running down throughout his body.

“Because I have faith in you...” Jun chuckled before switching the movie back on. Although he tried his best Nino couldn’t keep his eyes open, even with all of the excitement of the explosions on the TV screen. As he started to drift to sleep he was dimly aware of Jun moving him and placing him into the bed and covering him with the warm blanket before brushing his hair away from his face and kissing him on the forehead. “Goodnight, my Nino, I promise that I will make you better…”

Jun is really so kind and gentle with Nino and I think that it's great that he thought of having Nino talk to a specialist.

Yes that was so sweet! I like how he took the news of what Ohno was......the what would I tell him that I wouldn't tell you attitude seems so perfect. He wasn't even allowed friends before so I doubt he will be very open any time soon. He does like Ohno so he will talk to him but I doubt he thinks what he's been through as being wrong......he grew up as a slave. This is sooo interesting! : )
