“That was the best beef bowl I’ve had in a long time…” Jun said sighing happily as he rubbed his slightly extended stomach almost wishing that they weren’t in public so he could readjust the button on his jeans. It was almost embarrassing how much he had eaten and his only comfort was the fact that Nino had eaten just as much as was looking just as stated as he walked beside him passed a river in their search for Masaki and Sho so that they could head back home. He was going to suggest that Nino head back with him that night but he had some stuff in the spare room that he was going to have to move before the younger man could come back with him.
“It really was nice…” Nino hummed sounding surprised and Jun decided that he had been hearing that tone a lot today from his subordinate and he knew that Nino was enjoying himself even if he was pretending otherwise. “Thanks for the meal…”
“No problem…You’re surprisingly good company when you’re not sulking or glaring at me…”
“And so are you…When you’re not being a complete and utter douche…” Nino grumbled grudgingly and Jun chuckled leaning against a wooden fence and Nino followed suit staring out at the river and the bridge that crossed it as he mumbled a little more softly “…Thank-you…For today…Masaki would have just been threatening him with all kinds of violence all day and even if I think he deserves it…I wasn’t ready to hear it…So…This was nice…”
“You’re welcome…and it hasn’t been a complete sacrifice for me…You’re better company than I would have thought…” Jun admitted knowing that he was being completely honest. Nino was ten times better than he could have thought possible when seeing him in the office and he knew that now that they could get on it was going to be hard to treat him the way that he normally would when they returned to work on Monday.
“Of course it always pays to be nice to your boss and landlord…” Nino smirked and Jun gave a laugh gripping at the wood a little too roughly and almost panicking when the old wood crumbled away in his hands just a little. Moving away from the fence he cleaned his hands on his jeans humming a little;
“Well that’s true…We’re going to have to set up some ground rules for when you’re living with me…”
“Such as?”
“I work as much at home as I do in the office, I don’t mind a small amount of noise but I would prefer not to have loud music playing or you bringing people back without notice or approval…” Jun said finding it strange that he really didn’t want to let Nino invite anyone back at all but he pushed the feeling aside saying “I will do the same for you…”
“Well I’m not known for my wild social life” Nino grumbled and Jun recognised that that was true. It was hard enough to convince him that he had to go to the big corporate events that the forced them all to go to. Jun tried to make them interesting for his team but Nino always stayed on the edge glaring at everybody for about half an hour before leaving without saying good bye. Masaki seemed to be his only real friend and even those that worked with him rarely invited him to anything social “I’ve only ever been with only one guy so…”
“Just one…I don’t count?”
“That…That wasn’t…You…I thought we were going to forget about that…” Nino spat his face filling with anger and embarrassment and Jun felt instantly bad for ruining the mood.
“Sorry…I shouldn’t have said that…Come on…Let’s go and find those two before they get arrested for public exposure…”

A/N: I hope that this was okay ^_^
