Nino swallowed hotly about to answer when Masaki came back into the room followed by his ever eager lap dog Sho. Instead of tea or even coffee Masaki had pulled out a bottle of wine that he had Sho had probably been sharing before he arrived and Nino sighed glad that tomorrow wasn’t a work day though it didn’t appear to matter to his very confusing boss who smiled as he took the glass of wine.
“Thank-you, Aiba-san…”
“You’re welcome…Sho-chan brought it…” Masaki hummed handing Nino a glass and settling back down beside him again while Sho sat on his other side. “Did I hear your phone going? You didn’t answer it did you?”
“…I didn’t…He did…” Nino said rudely pointing his finger at Jun who was casually sipping at the wine with a huge grin on his face. He looked smug as he settled himself into the chair and now, with Masaki against him Nino could almost feel some amusement in what had happened on the phone and slowly he started to laugh. It was a chuckle at first in the pit of his stomach but it soon became a full on laugh as he imagined the look on his former lover’s face. He hoped that it would be a picture or at the very least as bad as the look that would have been on his face when he had walked into his apartment. “I can’t believe that you did that…”
“Well at least you’re laughing…” Jun smirked around the rim of his wine glass. Nino stopped laughing immediately but he was still smiling as he brought the glass to his lips and drank it down. The floral scent of wine washed around his senses as he swallowed it down. It was beautiful like a flavoured water but with a bite that said that it was anything but. “Tastes nice doesn’t it?”
“I guess…”
“Nino wouldn’t know a good wine if it reached out and slapped him!” Masaki giggled slapping him hard on the back. Nino grunted in pain rolling his eyes as he desperately fought to keep his wine from spilling all over his hand while he asked;
“And you would?”
“Sho-chan is teaching me! He owns clubs!” Masaki said proudly looking at Sho who was drinking his own wine and Nino hummed drinking more of the wine deciding that to hear about his friend’s love life was better than focusing on his own even if he had been laughing a little earlier.
“Clubs? As in nightclubs…How did you meet? You were out by yourself?”
“Masaki helps out in the veterinary surgery where I took my dog…” Sho answered with a shrug and Masaki laughed snuggling to his lover drinking more of his wine.
“You kept finding more things wrong with him...And my boss said that it would be cheaper if you just asked me out!” Masaki gave a giggle and Nino could easily imagine the scene of the bubbling older man and his bubbly friend. Sho would have been caught the first time he ever saw him but wouldn’t have known how to handle it. Nino let his eyes over to Jun who had completely settled into the chair looking like he owned the place. There was a fond smile on his face though as his eyes moved over his friend. He had always assumed that Jun was an arrogant, know it all, who cared very little about anyone but himself but now it seemed that he was wrong. He was deeply surprised to learn that there was actually many different layers to the man that had made his life hell for the last three years. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to get to know the other sides.

A/N: I hope that this was okay ^_^
