For a week after the banshee attack, they moved further into the wilderness, Sakurai watched Aiba poking the fire with a stick, since the banshee the witch had become withdrawn, and had distanced himself from the monk and he had stopped smiling as much. He only spoke to Nino and that was when he wasn’t attached to the hunter. He looked over at them, sat a little away from the fire talking and touching each other gently. They always seemed to be touching, as if the hunter was afraid that one day the demon wouldn’t be there. He looked back at the downcast witch, he knew what Matsu was feeling but he knew if he tried Aiba would just push him away, fear in his eyes as he remembered what the banshee had said. Sakurai hadn’t paid attention to it; he knew Aiba would never hurt him even if Aiba did dream about it. He blinked with surprise when he realized the witch was looking straight at him, his filled with a mixture of emotions. Sakurai took a deep breath making sure Nino was still with Matsu and went slowly too him. Aiba let him approach without saying anything just turning to continue to watch the sparks from the fire.

“Masaki...” He murmured, Aiba kept his focus on the fire, but allowed him to sit next to him which was a start. They sat in silence for awhile, letting the fire warm their bodies until Aiba spoke hesitantly

“The banshee... It was right... I do dream about killing you, when I was a kid I also dreamt about killing my own mother... Nino, he says she was never afraid of me but I knew she was...”

“Masaki, I’ve only known you about two weeks but I know you’d kill yourself before you ever hurt anybody else...”

“How do you know? Like you say, you haven’t known me that long... All witches go bad whatever Nino did... What if it doesn’t work one day? What if I kill you?”

“I’m more worried because I know you’re not going to be here one day... I’ve only just met you but you’re already a big part of my life, Masaki” Sakurai told him softly grabbing his hand tightly before Aiba could resist. “I think I’m in love with you...”

“Even if I dream about killing you?”

“Even then” Sakurai nodded “You’re a witch... But, for as long as I’ve got you, I want to be able to love you...”

“Sho-chan...” Aiba stared at him tears, glistening on his cheeks. Sakurai smiled wiping them away gently with his thumb. “I’m just going to hurt you...”

“Please Masaki, I don’t know how long we’ve got but until then... Let’s just be together” Sakurai said

“Am I just like the thing that killed your parents?”

“You’re nothing like that thing” Sakurai told him quickly “I was just a child, but I can still remember it... You’re nothing like that thing, Masaki”

Aiba let out a long sigh, closing his eyes tightly, “You’re a weird monk, Sho-chan...”

“I love it when you call me Sho-chan” The monk grinned kissing him lightly before pulling him into a hug. Aiba smiled breathing in his scent, as he nuzzled closer to him. Sakurai smiled running his finger through his soft silky hair. He looked over towards where Nino and Matsu had been, not surprised to see them gone. He held Aiba tightly choosing to ignore the soft moans and groans that were coming just a little away from the camp.

Matsu let out a soft cry as came and then landed on top of Nino panting heavily; Nino chuckled wrapping his arms around him, “For someone that said he’d never sleep with me, you’re doing a good job...” He said against his ear, Matsu groaned hitting him slightly, “Though you could let me top at least once...”

“No chance” The hunter said causing Nino to pout, his eyes flashing and then he smiled

“You know you’re only the second person I’ve allowed to top me...”

“The other was...”

“Oh-chan” Nino nodded, Matsu closed his eyes, and then buried his face into Nino’s neck, wishing that even if it was a lie, Nino would tell him he loved him but knowing that he wouldn’t. They slept a little after waking when the sun was just starting to shine down on them. Nino led them through a swamp, and the air grew cold and foul, little all no life seemed exist. Even though there was sunlight the air was unnaturally cold.

“It’s as if the unholy king made this place” Sakurai murmured looking around at the dead landscape

“Don’t speak about him” Matsu snapped “He’s just a myth” The unholy king was the rumored leader of the dark ones, the first demon to crawl out of the dark, most of the story was just legend, and not even the hunters knew if he was actually real. He looked at Nino who was just staring at the path ahead of them. Matsu felt a shiver run up his spine,

“There’s a lot of evidence that he was real” Sakurai was saying “Most demon legends mention him...”

“Nino...”

“There was the first demon... That people refer to as the Unholy King” Nino answered although it seemed to be against his wishes his eyes were flashing.

“He is real?”

“Yes” The demon nodded “After the war the dark ones hoped he would rule them...”

“But they aren’t ruled...”

“No... There was never any sign of an unholy king... So it just became a legend that humans forgot about...” Sakurai put in

“Mortals forget so many things” Nino sighed “There are something’s that should never be forgotten, though the legend of the unholy king... That one should be... He was lost during the war”

“He was killed?”

“Yes” He nodded “Completely”

Matsu stared at the demon carefully trying to read his face, he knew more than what he was letting on but the hunter wasn’t sure if he really wanted to know. The demon seemed unaffected by the place and was just calmly guiding them through it. He let out a long sigh, there was still so much about the demon he didn’t know, but there was so much that he didn’t want to know, he thought. The nights came quickly in this unforgiving place, and the temperature dropped to below freezing, there was nothing to burn for a fire so he was glad that he had Nino and amazing body warmth even though he knew it weakened him slightly.

“We getting closer to the after world aren’t we?”

“We’re getting closer to Matthew’s dwelling on the mortal plain” Nino nodded “The things we will have to face will be things under his control,”

“They will attack us?”

“Yes” Nino nodded with a sigh, hugging him tightly and raising his temperature even more, as Matsu shivered “That’s why we should keep moving as much as we can...”

“But?”

“Before we go any further there’s something’s I need to tell you... Before we meet Matthew...”

“Nino...”

“Not tonight though you need sleep” Nino said kissing his neck. Matsu shivered again but this time it had nothing to do with the cold. The next morning however Nino seemed to have forgotten saying anything, and was giving his normal lazy grin as he shuffled his cards. Matsu tried to get him to talk but the demon just shook his head. As the moved they met the first group of creatures that served under death. The fight lasted a long time and by the end they were all drained, bruised and bloody. Nino gently smeared the balms on Matsu soothing them gently, while the hunter bit his lip “The others?”

“They’re fine” Nino answered motioning a little further away, where Aiba was doing the same thing to the monk, although the position they were in looked a little more suggestive.

“Aiba is defiantly your son” Matsu said groaning as he tried to laugh, Nino grinned at him, and then apologized as Matsu let out a hiss of pain

“Sorry” He whispered against his lips and then kissed him lightly, Matsu smiled lost in the warm colour of Nino’s eyes. The moment was lost when they heard giggles coming from the witch and the monk. Nino sighed rolling his eyes although he was smiling slightly.

“I’m guessing I don’t really want to know what’s being said, do I.” Nino asked motioning back to Aiba and Sakurai, who were still giggling happily to themselves. Matsu sat up, giving a wince of pain as he did so

“It’s better than the way they were acting after the banshee” He pointed out, Nino’s eyes filled with sadness for a few minutes as he thought back to the attack

“I guess you’re right...” He nodded letting out a sigh “They should just hurry up and fuck already...”

“You have all the charm of a pig” Matsu sighed his breathing becoming easier as the balm took affect

“You still fell for me” Nino grinned his eyes flashing, Matsu gave a small smile kneeling in front of him he stroked his cheek

“Yeah, against my better judgment I did” He murmured kissing him twice on the lips “I can still take it back”

“I wish you could” Nino murmured, hugging him tightly around the waist and then resting his head on chest listening to the sound of his heartbeat. Matsu knew what he meant, Nino was trying to get him not to be in love with him but it was impossible, he had already fallen to deep even though he knew the demon would never feel the same and would soon be gone from his life forever.

“How did you suppress Aibas ‘witch’ side?” Matsu asked after awhile “And what did you want to talk to me about that night?”

“When he was a baby I bound him to me... And then I did the rite of the unholy king” Nino answered softly, feeling Matsu shudder at the mention of the unholy king. Nino wasn’t surprised, although he was about to have a lot of explaining to do. “Both things are a part of what I wanted to talk to you about...”

“You asked him...?” Matsu pulled away staring at his lover, “You made a deal with... Are you crazy?”

“No, I’m not crazy” Nino nodded and then took a deep breath “But I didn’t make a deal... Jun... I was the unholy king... I was the first demon...”

“W-what? You can’t be...” Matsu’s face twisted in horror, and Nino grabbed his hand tightly wanting to explain everything

“I am... Do you remember what the banshee said? ‘You could have ruled’ I was the unholy king, but I gave up on it...”

“You just gave up on being the ‘Unholy’ king?” Matsu scoffed “What were you bored of that too?”

“Yes” Nino nodded “When I met the 1st

“I can’t understand any of this...” Matsu said “You’re only 2217 the unholy king was the first...”

“I know... I want to use our connection and show you...”

Matsu stared at him, his mind reeling trying to take in what he had learnt, he stared into Nino eyes that were apologizing silently and then nodded

“Okay... Do it”

Nino nodded slowly and then let him go, his eyes flashing as he drew two enchantments on the ground “You need to sit in that one...You have dreams but we need a stronger connection”

Matsu nodded doing as he was told. Nino sat in the other circle and then smiled at him sadly “What you are going to see might make you hate me but I need you to still trust me...” Matsu was about to speak when suddenly the circles started to glow and he found himself falling backwards his eyes closing.

Well, especially Matsumiya and Sakuraiba in that chapter !!!

The relationship between Matsumiya is very complicated since Nino can't love Matsu although he cares about him. and he's this "special king" ??!!!

Woah, it was unexpected, whe did he quit ? Even though he was bored, it wasn't enough as a reason, maybe just his love for Satoshi-kun as he said ?

I'm going to see it in the next chapter.
