“Good morning Masaki-chan” Nino said brightly as he handed his manager a cup of coffee purposely waving his finger in front of his face. Aiba raised an eyebrow and sipped his drink slowly “What?”
“I thought you were going to be all bummed out cause Jun was going home today… But you seem creepily happy… Have you been taking something?” Aiba asked and Nino let out a groan wondering why Aiba’s brain went to strange places like that
“No…You’re an idiot…Look…” He said irritated and pointing at his finger and twisting it around until he saw it click in Aiba’s eyes and a wide grin formed on his face as he put his drink down
“You got engaged! That’s great!” He shouted throwing his arms around his neck and jumping him up and down “Congratulations!”
“Thanks…You’ll be my best man right?” The actor murmured happily, okay they might not be able to have a real wedding but Jun had spent the whole night insisting that they could have some kind of celebration. They had agreed though that they would have theirs after Kazuko and Yamamoto and Aiba and Becky.
“Well…You’re going to be mine!” Aiba agreed nodding furiously against shoulder and the smaller guy pushed him away as the toilet flushed and Jun came out of the bathroom.
“Thanks for asking…” Nino sighed side rolling his eyes before grabbing Jun’s cup and handing it to him as he kissed his lips a few times. “Have you packed everything?”
“Yes…Are you sure you want me to leave before you come back?” Jun asked softly his fingers tangling tightly into his hair and Nino nodded holding him more tightly before reluctantly letting him go so that he could drink his coffee and eat the pop tarts that he knew Jun still disapproved of
“Yeah… If not I’ll tie you to the bed and not let you go” He sighed between bites of hot strawberry jam. Jun gave a laugh kissing the top of his head as he put in two slices of toast
“You can do that on our honeymoon if you want” He murmured suggestively and Nino smirked as his hand went down to cup at the front of Jun’s jeans ignoring the snorting from Aiba
“I’ll hold you to that…I love you” Nino mumbled aware that he would have to leave soon Jun gave him a wide lopsided smile brushing his fingers against the side of his face
“Me too…”
“Me three…But as much as I love you both we have to get going!” Aiba called putting his cup down into the sink and clapping his hands together. Nino rolled his eyes and gave Jun a long slow kiss and then reluctantly pulled away
“Ring me when you get back, okay?” He said and Jun nodded slowly “I’ll have my phone on no matter what so ring me…”
“I will…Go and be perfect…I’ll see you next week” Jun told him as he took his hand and kissed his ring “I love you”
“I love you too…” Nino said still making no move towards the door until Aiba grabbed his arm and tugged him out of the apartment calling
“I’ll see you next week Jun” Over his shoulder and Jun waved goodbye until the door closed after his was alone he smiled down at his own ring and then sighed shaking himself out of his morose feelings and quickly tidied up the apartment before grabbing his bag from the bedroom. Nino hadn’t asked for one but he pulled a t-shirt out of his bag and left it on the pillow before scribbling a note and sticking it to the mirror after a seconds thought he took the rose coloured lipstick and smeared his lips with it and kissed the mirror and the note. Cleaning his lips off with the hand wipes Nino kept on his bedside table he wondered for a minute if he was being too weird but gave a shrug and left the apartment glad to feel the weight of the ring on his finger. He was humming as he headed towards the stairwell not wanting to wait for the elevator he was just about to open the door when it was pulled open from the other side.
“Ohno-san?” He murmured in amazement seeing the tanned guy coming in from the stairwell and Ohno gave him a small worried smile
“Um…I came to see Ninomiya-san…” Ohno whispered picking at some splodges of paint that were on his sleeves and Jun tried to work out how old the guy was. He had to be able than him and Nino, it was possible that he was older than Sakurai but the short bleached spiky hair and the way that he wore his clothes made him appear younger
“He’s just gone to work…” Jun told him feeling almost guilty when the smile fell quicker than it had come.
“Oh right…The play…” Ohno mumbled slowly and thoughtfully before giving a sigh “I guess I should have called ahead but I thought that he would tell me to get stuffed or… Sorry…”
“…What did you…?” Jun asked wondering why this was so difficult
“Sho… He told me about Nino’s mum wedding…I…” The small guy shifted uncomfortably and Jun nodded though he was surprised Nino hadn’t told him that he had already talked to Sakurai about that
“Do you want a drink?” Jun asked praying that this wasn’t going to come back and bite him. Ohno looked stunned but he gave a nod and Jun led the way back to Nino’s apartment.
Ohno sat on the edge of the sofa and looked around nervously while Jun fixed them a drink making sure not to use any of the cups that Nino used for them for Ohno. After making sure to ask how he liked it he came back and sat in the opposite seat and rocked a little on the balls of his feet wondering waiting for him to speak and Ohno gave another small smile before taking a deep breath
“I…I wanted to thank him for the invitation I know it must have been hard for him…But I don’t want to make problems for his mum on her wedding day…” He said in what had to be a well-practiced way and Jun half thought that he might have had it written on his hand
“Ohno-san…” Jun started but Ohno held his hand up and sure enough in smudged blue pen there was writing there
“Please…I…I’m 33 years old and before I met Sho I wasn’t able to tell my parents that I was gay and that they would never be able to have the big wedding and grandchildren…I…If I hadn’t met him I might have gone through with a sham marriage…But…I was never as brave as Ninomiya or…You…But Sho made me feel that way I finally told my parents but when I did they kicked me out and they told me that they never wanted anything more to do with me… Sho helped me through that…I know that you must think that being a secret boyfriend or the other guy isn’t anything to be proud of but I was...” Ohno told him in his quiet voice staring down at the grey and brown rug instead of looking at Jun and Jun smiled at how sincere he sounded. True cheating was unforgivable but he couldn’t deny that if he had had the chance he would have done the same to feel the way he was right now with Nino.
“I understand… But you’re wrong about me… I’m not that brave, I fell in love with Kazu when we were kids…But I didn’t act on it, in fact I made his life a living hell… Kazu didn’t have to forgive me but he did and now we’re engaged, I can understand what you mean about Sakurai making you braver and…Although this nearly broke my Kazu I’m glad it happened because I got him…Wow that makes me sound selfish right?” Jun said realising how that sounded as he gave Ohno a sly smile and a half wink “I guess we’re both a little selfish ne?”
“…I still don’t want to upset Mrs Ninomiya…”
“Trust me… She would be more upset if you didn’t show up…Aunty Kazuko is one hell of a lady…Come to the wedding and let’s put how we all ended up here to one side…” Jun gave a grin and held out his hand and hesitantly Ohno reached out to take it “I’m looking forward to getting to know you Ohno-san…”
“You too…And…Congratulations on your engagement…”
“Thank-you…”
