When Nino came out of the office his was dazed and confused. His body tingling with a low humming of nerves, they were focused in the base of his neck causing strange sounds in his head. He was surprised but glad when a can of tea was thrust in front of his face and blinking he saw Miki’s smiling face

“How’d it go?” She asked her eyes flashing behind her glasses. Nino ran his tongue over his lips taking shallow breaths to calm his thumping heart

“I...I got…It” He said his voice echoing his disbelief before sipping the drink and allowing it to revive his senses. He had wanted to tell Jun first but he wanted to say it out loud just once to make sure that he wasn’t dreaming. Miki clapped her hands together

“Well done” She said and Nino tried to nod and smile remembering the conversation with the head teacher

“Ninomiya-san, I understand that you wish to come to our school as a student teacher?”

“…Yes!” He said quickly glad that he hadn’t had to bring it up knowing that if he did the words wouldn’t have made it passed his lips. He gripped the chair tightly and forced himself to stare into the older man’s eyes, wondering why he felt that he was in trouble. When he was a student he had been in this office a lot standing in front of the previous head teachers desk trying to explain why ‘he was causing a disturbance’. Everything had always been his fault back then, he thought bitterly, remembering the disgusted glare on the head teachers face. Not that had lasted for long after he had broken down one night and sobbed onto his grandfather’s shoulder.

 It turned out that the old head teacher had been a close friend of his grandfathers and his grandfather had been a surprisingly fiery old bird who had adored his grandson. When he had heard what was happening he had marched Nino to the teacher’s house and given a few home truths that he knew about their family. Nino had never seen his normally docile grandfather so fired up and he would always remember the words he had told him when they had walked home ‘people in this world will always try and make you feel bad Kazunari, but it’s because they are scared that people will know about their own weaknesses…It’s the worst trait of mankind and the only way that you can make them suffer is by smiling and carrying on… Because that’s what they hate so always smile Kazunari and never forget that you’re a Ninomiya and my grandson, no matter what you do or who you love’ Up until that point Nino had been convinced that his grandfather didn’t know the truth about him but that simple sentence had confirmed that he had. Two weeks later his grandfather had passed away with pneumonia but he would never forget those words. “Yes I’m hoping to become a drama teacher” He said his voice filling with more confidence than he had felt before and the head teacher nodded looking a little surprised by the changed attitude in his face and voice.

“I see… I am sure that you know that we currently don’t have a drama programme”

“No but you have a drama club… Or you did, I graduated from this school and although I hated almost every part of it the drama club is the one place that I felt that I could truly be myself. School can be a daunting or terrifying place for a lot of people but…As long as there is one place where they can feel free they can do a lot… I was told many times that I should just give up but I didn’t and I was able to live my dream… I want to be able to help other people have that chance” He said in a surprisingly coherent voice, wondering where the hell he was getting this from. One look in the teachers face though told him that he was saying the right thing and he gave a wide smile “Being a teacher was never my dream until a few days ago and to be honest I think that I might fail but I can’t do any worse than the teachers that I had. Even if you don’t continue with me after the training period I will be grateful that you gave me this chance…”

“You know stating that this wasn’t your dream… Was very honest…I won’t promise anything above a training placement, but…Welcome aboard… I understand that you won’t be starting for three months at least… My wife and daughter are looking forwards to your latest play…”

“I…Urm…Than-Thank-you…” Nino gasped his confidence leaving him again as he looked at him. He was positive that this had to be a joke, he had been positive that he was going to fail, he hadn’t really thought about what he would do if he hadn’t. The teacher smiled brightly getting to his feet and Nino did the same walking on shaky legs to the door unable to believe what had just happened.

“We can go into more detail in a few months…”

“Thank-you” Nino bowed his heart thumping painfully against his ribs as he vanished out into the reception.

“Ninomiya-san?” Miki said softly touching his shoulder and Nino blinked rapidly pulling himself out of his memory. He drank some more of the tea and smiled

“You wanted to talk…”

“Yes, if you don’t mind?” She nodded pushing at the glasses on her nose and Nino shook his head his eyes flicking to the face of the clock he had only been in the room for 15 minutes. 15 minutes was all it took to completely change your life? He wondered and clenched his hands tightly, his nails digging into the palms of his hands and proving that this wasn’t just a dream. “Then… Let’s go to the old drama room”

“Okay” Nino nodded slowly and they walked side by side in silence through the corridor. His memories threatened to choke him as they went but he pushed them away and when they reached their destination he was able to smile with some sense of confidence.

“There hasn’t been a drama teacher here in at least 4 years” Miki smiled as they sat on the small stage. The place was in ruins, with junk and boxes piled almost to the ceiling, but Nino could remember at least this place with some form of fondness. “This was the first place I ever saw you…You were reading lines from Beauty and the Beast I thought you were amazing…”

“Thank-you…” Nino murmured suddenly feeling a bit concerned hoping that this wasn’t going to be a confession scene. If it was he really didn’t want to start out his new career by scorning someone “Kakinomoto-chan… Um…Those rumours about me at school… Um…”

“They were true right? You are gay?” She said beaming at him behind her glasses and Nino nodded numbly glad that she seemed to know that. The receptionist reached into her pocket and pulled out a purple and pink wallet which had a cute white fox’s face printed on the front. She flicked it open and showed him a photo of her and another woman their arms wrapped around each other doing peace signs to the camera with wide happy smiles on their faces “This is my girlfriend Tsukiko… Isoda Tsukiko…We’ve been together since my first year here…” Miki said shyly her fingers brushing over the photo “We were best friends first and then well… The feelings grew… But I thought it was wrong… I hated myself and I wanted to die…I came in here to write my suicide note… And then I saw you rehearsing… I watched you for ages and a group of idiots came in and they circled you… They were saying some pretty awful things and even though they weren’t directed at me…It made me feel bad, but then you spoke and you said something like ‘screw you all, I’m the way I’m meant to be I don’t give a fuck what you think…’”

“Not very pretty words” Nino mumbled and Miki laughed shaking her head

“No but for some reason they stayed with me… And the day after I joined the drama club…I know it sounds stupid but… I always found confidence from you…You always kept coming into school and you never gave up…I always thought that I wanted to thank-you for that…” She said her cheeks flushing again as her eyes fell back onto the picture. Nino stared in silence overwhelmed by what he had just heard. Statistics would say that more than one or two students in the school would have been homosexual but at the time he had never seen that. In spite of what words he had ever said he had always believed that a part of him was wrong or broken he hadn’t thought that someone else would be going through the same thing. “I hope that when you start working here… I hope that we can be friends”

“Me too…” Nino smiled looking at his watch and getting to his feet “Sorry, I’d better get going…”

“Yeah me too” Miki said sticking her purse back in her pocket “Its Tsu’s turn to cook but she always manages to burn something…” Nino laughed as they walked to the door and Miki motioned to the room “Don’t worry about this, I promise that it will all be cleared away before you get back…”

“Thank-you” They separated at the reception and Nino headed out through the main door his heart almost giddy with happiness which only grew when he saw Jun sat on the bonnet of the land cruiser chewing his lip with a worried expression on his face. “I got it!” He shouted running up to him and throwing his arms around his waist and pressing his face into the doctor’s stomach not caring if anyone could see them.

And seems and i hope that he with that girl , they could be a great friends.
What will happend to Jun and Nino in the next chapter?¿ Something to read only for adults xD

Miki's story was nice, it's almost like it was fate that Nino indirectly saved her and now they're going to be coworkers in the future. :")
And I have to say, I love the image of Nino pouncing onto someone for a hug, it's one of the cutest things I could ever imagine~ <3 <3

First i just want to say that i have been completely spoiled today by you. Coming Home update with touching lesbian side story (I can't even find the proper words to thank you). Then an update of Little Idiot with acceptance of children and kissing. Followed by two outstanding porn fics. Seriously it was like Christmas, my birthday and finding out that every drama and TV show out of Japan was suddenly subbed and completely downloadable--all rolled into one.

Now to the fic--I am so glad the Nino went for this job--I love the flashback that gave him courage--already mentioned the really touching moment with Miki, and then yay he got the job. I can't wait we see Jun's reaction <3
