krystalkatzficzThe park was beautiful in the early morning light, there was barely anybody there except for a few people walking dogs or setting up for fishing. Other than a few ‘Good mornings’ nobody said anything to them. It was a peaceful sort of place, there were main paths that were covered with tarmac but there were also hidden paths that led through thick clumps of trees. They stuck to the main paths that were all colour coded. Next to the hotel there was the remains of a church ivy had almost completely grown up one side while the inside had trees growing up through the once cobbled floor.
“I bet this was where the lady married her husband...” Jun whispered in his ear his arms wrapping around his waist and Nino gave a growl elbowing him in the ribs as hard as he could when a shiver raced down his spine “Ouch...What the hell...”
“Nothing...” Nino mumbled suddenly feeling creeped out wanting to get out of there as quickly as he could. He gripped his husbands hand and tugged him out of the churchyard apologising to the graves that he was standing on. They hurried out almost sliding on the dew that was coating the grass and then hurried along the path. When they had put a bit of distance between them and the church he calmed down breathing a sigh of relief and they fell into a more comfortable walking pace looking around at the small lake that was beside them. It was over grown with lily pads but ducks and a black swan were gliding over the top of the surface. “We should have brought bread...You’re allowed to do that here right?”
“Hey, Kazu are you okay?” Jun asked softly as they watched the ducks coming towards the bank “You know there’s no such thing as ghost’s right..?”
Nino rolled his eyes clicking his tongue against his teeth, he was aware that there was no such thing as ghosts, but ever since Kaede had died he had been more and more open to the whole idea of the supernatural.
“I know...” He mumbled kicking a stone into the water where it made a plopping sound and the birds went into overdrive squawking and flapping their wings around “I’m just not sure if they know that...”
“I think this is why I love you so much...” Jun murmured hugging him around the waist and kissing his shoulder his fingers running up and down his sides. Nino smiled resting back against him his head on his shoulder. They swayed from side to side for a moment watching the ducks bicker and snap at each other while listening to the sounds of each other breathing and then let out sighs before carrying on with their ramble through the park. They didn’t get very far before Jun stopped them jerking with his head. “Look there’s a park...” He murmured and Nino followed his gaze seeing two parks surrounded by little fences. One was obviously for a younger children with slides and swings with bars across and the other part was for older children with climbing frames and roundabouts. The paintwork was peeling slightly and there was a small amount of graffiti on the slides but it still looked fun.
“So...” Nino said slowly somehow knowing what his husband was going to do before he did it grabbing his hand,
“There’s nobody on it...” Jun pointed out with a grin and Nino shook his head but he was already smiling as he muttered,
“No...”
“Come on, let me push you on the swing...” Jun said tugging him down the bank and into the park. Nino grumbled for a minute and then ran to the swing on the left hand side. Plonking himself down on the plastic seat, grinning like a mad man when Jun came up behind him pushing him on the swing. Nino laughed as he went higher and higher getting a strange buzz whenever the swing dipped eventually he slowed into a gentle swing while Jun got on the other one. It wasn’t something that he had done a lot as a kid, he was more the indoor type he had never imagined that he was be playing around on the swings during his honeymoon. “Having fun?” Jun asked as they slowed down their feet scrapping on the strange spongy surface of the floor.
“You’re an idiot...I thought you were the manager...” Nino mumbled rolling his eyes but having to admit that he was having a weird kind of fun on the swing.
“I am...But I’m on my honeymoon, I’m allowed to act how I want...” Jun said sticking his tongue out before taking his phone out of his pocking at snapping a picture. Nino stuck his tongue out and then made a peace sign and they were both surprised when his stomach started rumbling loudly. “I guess that means it’s time for breakfast?” Jun asked scrapping to a stop and Nino skidded his shoes on the floor swaying slightly as the swing came to a stop the linked chains clinking together. Jun grinned grabbing a hold of his swing pulled him towards him and then pressing their lips together. They moved together from side to side the weird movements causing a dipping sensation in his stomach. Jun’s tongue moved over the line of his lips and then plunged inside for a fraction of a second before he pulled away “Come on then, husband...”
“Coming husband...” Nino smirked jumping up from the swing and linking his fingers with Jun’s. They headed back to the hotel following the road so they didn’t get lost thankful for the little markers that led the way back. Martin greeted them with a smile and a cheerful wave as they entered the dining room
“Good morning, I hope you enjoyed your night...” He said with a bow and Nino grinned giving him a wink,
“Very much so...If there were any spirits in the room they would have had a show...” He said suggestively his free hand going to Jun’s arse, Martin laughed loudly handing them a menu each and then motioning them over to the same table that they had had last night. The milky rays of the sun came in through the window flooding over the table and onto the little pink flowers in the black vase. It looked beautiful and Nino felt that he could really get used to this kind of life. He sat down at the table and didn’t even bother looking at the menu looking around the room at the other guests. There was a middle aged couple with a teenaged son and daughter. The daughter was eyeing Jun with obvious lust in her pretty grey green eyes and the boy, to his surprise the boy was looking at him with the same look. He gave a smile and a wink which caused the boy to blush a little and hide his face in his hands. Nino gave a loud laugh when there was a deep growl from his husband and then there was an almost painful squeeze on his hand,
“Do you think that you could not eye other guys on the day after our wedding?” Jun said and Nino gave a laugh flashing him a grin,
“Sorry, I didn’t realise that I was allowed to look...” He murmured and Jun squeezed again tighter and Nino gave yelp when his ring pinched at his fingers. “Be careful...I’ve got sharp stones on this thing...”
“Sorry, sorry...” Jun said softly picking up his hand and kissing it lightly his tongue moving over the indentations. Nino gave a laugh tugging his free when a waiter came over to them his notepad in hand. Jun ordered them pancakes while Nino let his eyes move around the room again on the far side was a couple with a baby girl in pink ribbons holding up her feather like hair. She looked over dressed for the time of year but both her parents were fussing over her. Nino could easily picture that being his friends, Sachiko and Maria were going to make fantastic parents. Throughout their friendship both women had proved their worth time and time again. But he could also picture Jun with a little boy that was the spitting image of him, pushing him on the swings and taking him to slide down the slide while he stood on the side lines ready with bandages just in case something went wrong. The waiter came and left again but Nino was too lost in his fantasy that he barely noticed to say anything more than a muffled ‘thank-you’ and pick up his fork.
“So what are you thinking about with that real smile on your face, Kazu?” Jun asked through a mouthful of blueberry pancakes finally pulling him out of his thoughts and Nino swallowed deeply putting his fort down onto the plate with a clink. He faced his husband his heart thumping almost painfully as he murmured,
“I was thinking that we have really great friends that deserve to have the chance become really great mums...”
“Kazu...I know, that's why you've already agreed to it...” Jun started but Nino reached over the table and linked their fingers feeling the cold metal of Jun’s wedding ring pressing against him,
“Yeah I decided that I wanna be able to give them the baby...But the reason that I was smiling is because...I think that I’d like to have a baby with you...”
