Masako dragged Sho into the main dining not once letting go. It had taken almost an hour to get in the shower and then come down for the breakfast because they couldn’t stop kissing and touching each other. It wasn’t until she’d gotten an almost angry phone call from Masami that they had run down the stairs. Seeing her mum and step-father sitting at the box table near the window she pulled Sakurai over to the buffet and made their choices. She grabbed a fruit salad, yogurt and a gripe juice and then waited for Sho to make his choices. Her fiancé, she loved thinking that word, looked over the choices for a moment and then asked for a very unhealthy cooked breakfast. She had to wonder how he managed to keep all of his beautiful muscles that he had just been exploring.
“What...I’m on holiday!” Sho protested as he caught the look she was sending his plate as it was put onto his tray.
“I didn’t say anything...I was just wondering what exercises you do...” She mumbled as they walked over to her mum and Hiro
“I go to the gym three times a week...What do you do?” Sho asked with a lifted eyebrow his eyes going over her body in a slow sensual way and Masako giggled loving the way that he looked at her like she was the only beautiful thing in the world. It was the same way that Hiro looked at her Mama and she’d always wanted it for herself and for her papa.
“I play basketball, baseball, football and tennis...” She said slowly remembering all the clubs that she had signed up for when school started. Sho gave a whistle and Masako shrugged “I have a lot of energy...”
“I know...Come on baby” Sho seemed to purr and she gave a blush her cheeks burning as she remembered him calling that earlier when he was touching her private area. When they reached the table Hiro smiled up at them his soft brown eyes twinkling lightly as the skin around the corners crinkled. Hiro was half but he looked more Italian that it surprised people when he spoke with flawless Japanese and more people were surprised when they learned his name Tanaka Hiro. At 38 he was still attractive with black hair that was only lightly dappled with grey and wrinkles around his eyes and mouth from smiling. He was an artist working with mosaics and was also represented by her papa’s company, he was the second person it had ever taken on and Masami had been smitten with him from the moment they met though he wouldn’t go anywhere near her until Nino and Masami had officially divorced. The moment the paperwork had gone through he had proposed and Masami had accepted and they were married 4 months later with Masako and Hiro’s younger sister as bridesmaids.
“Hey Uncle Hiro, you must have go here really late” Masako said placing the tray on the table and then flopping down onto the bench with a bump refusing to cry out when she hit her bum. Sho slid in net to her closely so their arms and legs were pressing tightly against each other, she shivered at the contact remembering their earlier actions and the half promise that she had made him for later. Spearing the banana with her fork she popped it into her mouth wondering if she would actually be able to go through with it.
“Yeah...I get here at about half one” Hiro nodded sipping his orange juice with a smile “So...Are you going to tell me?”
“What?” Masako frowned slightly her cheeks flushing as she wondered, for a wild moment, why Hiro wanted to know about her and Sho’s plans for later that day.
“The ring...” Hiro laughed pointing at her hand with his spoon and Masako looked down for a minute in confusion before blinking when she saw her engagement ring shining on her finger, her confusion cleared quickly and she broke out into a huge smile.
“Oh...That’s right! I’m engaged!” She gasped dropping her fork with a loud clatter and ramming her hand in his face so that he could see the ring
“What, Ma-Ma-chan did you forget already?” Sho asked fondly as he sipped hid coffee and Masako shook her head in denial
“I didn’t Sho-chan...I just...Forgot about the ring...” She mumbled it was the truth, the ring felt so snug on her hand that it was easy to forget that it was their even when some of the petals pressed against her other fingers “Sho-chan proposed!”
“So I see...This is a very pretty ring...” Hiro mused his eyes crinkling as he smiled playing with the ring of her finger and Masako beamed happily her head bobbing up and down in a frantic motion.
“Yeah...It’s because I gave Sho-chan a daisy chain ring when we were little...” She gasped turning to look at Sho while her mum sighed grabbing a hold of her pear water, a distant look came into her eyes and she focused on doing her best ‘old woman remembering’ pose.
“I remember that day...” She hummed in a croaky voice pushing around a loose strawberry around her bowl with her finger “So long ago...When my baby was still a baby...Ah...where has all the time gone? Now she’s getting engaged and will have children of her own...I want my baby back!”
“Aww...But you know, il mio amore, you’re not all that old so stop acting like an old maid...Besides your acting is not so good...You should save it...” Hiro said nudging at her arm and Masami grinned her eyes flashing as she turned to them one hand dropping down to her stomach while she inched closer to Hiro so she was almost sitting on his lap. Masako stared at the hand on her mum’s stomach the faint hairs on her neck starting to rise and the inside of her stomach balled with nerves and excitement
“Well since Hiro’s here and I really can’t keep it to myself anymore, I want to tell you something...I’m pregnant...” She announced and Masako almost fainted, her mouth dropping open as her eyes blew wide and she looked between the two smiling faces. Unable to form a coherent sentence she choked out,
“What? You’re...How...When...?”
“Pregnant, me...The same way I got pregnant with you....And about five months ago...” Masami said easily answering all of the questions and Masako smiled at her mum wondering if it was because they had known each other for so long that both of her parents had the same dry, bratty, sense of humour “We’ve been going to a fertility clinic for a while...”
“You never told me!” Masako screeched not caring that she drew the attention of some of the other dinners that were around them. Masami shrugged, holding Hiro’s hand and looking into his handsome face as she stroked her stomach.
“We were told that there was only a 35% chance of it working...We didn’t want to get our hopes up much less yours...We know you hated being an only child...” She murmured and Masako smiled, it was the only thing that she’d asked from Santa every was for a baby brother, she was giddy with excitement even though she would be the same age as her mum was now when the baby was the same age she was. “We haven’t told your dad yet...So keep it a secret okay?”
“Why not...?” Masako asked confused looking at Sho who gave a helpless shrug his mouth full of tomatoes from the full cooked breakfast he was eating.
“...Because I want to tell him...” Masami said with a shrug and Masako shook her head wondering if this was one of those weird adult things that she didn’t even want to understand when she was an adult. Her parents were both weird people she could bet that they were going to go all misty eyed and remember the shock and horror that they went through when they found out that they were pregnant with her. She knew that they had been contemplating aborting her...Masami more than Nino because she had been so scared about her parent’s reaction but Nino had won through in the end. It was a very difficult conversation to have had a year ago when she’d asked but she could understand it but she was also upset that there had even been a moment when her mum had thought it and in a way she was jealous that there was no way that her mum would even contemplated getting rid of the new baby. “Hey...Masa...Everything okay?”
“What...Yeah...I’m so happy for you! You finally get to have a baby with Uncle Hiro...” She said getting up and hurrying around the table throwing her arms around her neck and pressing her lips to her cheek. Masami’s arms closed around her the best they could at the awkward angle and she rocked her slightly breathing in the scent of her hair.
“Yeah but you know that this doesn’t mean you’re not my baby any more...” She whispered in her ear and Masako closed her eyes resting her head on her shoulder “You’re always gonna be that...Even when your 60 and got grandkids...You’ve always been my baby...My little miracle...Ever since I first felt you kick...Nothing will change that...”
“I know mum...” Masako said feeling guilty that she had ruined the moment she pulled away looking at Hiro who was smiling gently “I’m sorry...I’m really happy for you both...”
“It’s the same for me...Even though I’m not your papa...You’ll always be my bambina...” Hiro said taking her hand and giving it a little squeeze and Masako grinned nodding happily as she leaned over and pressed her lips to his grizzled cheek. There was always the difference between kissing her papa and her uncle Hiro, not matter how much he saved always had stubble while her papa felt like silk.
“So where is papa and Jun?” She asked sitting back down tucking into her food not noticing the way her mum and Hiro looked at each other before Masami answered
“...You’re dad’s showing him the sights...”
“It rare ne...Your papa showing off... I can’t wait to meet this Jun-kun...He must be special...” Hiro joked and Masako nodded thoughtfully, she might have missed the look that they had given each other but she hadn’t missed the pause or the worried tinge to her mum’s voice. She looked at Sho who was just staring at the pair across the table and she knew that he’d noticed too.

Date: 2013-08-18 10:11 am (UTC)And apparently, Masami told everything to his husband Hiro.
Again, I say it, it gonna be tough, rough... for the moment in fact, the gap between Nino and Jun age is not really the biggest problem...

Date: 2013-08-18 10:50 am (UTC)You got the Italian mostly right :) Just a little bit of a grammar mistake which is easy for anyone to do :) 'My love' is usually 'il mio amore' but can be written as 'amore mio' in some circumstances, and it should be 'bambina' instead of 'bambino' because Masako is a girl :)
