Our First Summer part thirty-five

krystalkatzficzMasako opened her eyes slowly and was momentarily surprised when she felt something hard, warm and masculine next to her. It took her a moment to realise that she was tucked up close to Sho, and that her legs were wrapped tightly around his larger hairier one. One of her arms was splayed over his stomach while her other was wrapped tightly around his. It was an awkward position and she knew that her left arm had gone to sleep and she was going to be having some painful pins and needles when she finally did start moving. Just as she was wondering what had woken her and if Sho was awake his deep voice vibrated around her sending a shiver down her spine
“Yes, Masako’s phone...Uncle Nino...” Masako tried not to stiffen too much at that and she closed her eyes again biting on her tongue “Um...Ma-Ma...Um she’s asleep...Um...Okay...Right...Bye...”
The phone beeped and Masako looked up into her fiancé’s slightly puffy face noticing that there was minor bruising on his cheek, nose and a cut on his lower lip. Jun had complained once, when he stayed over, that she was more like a boxer when she was asleep then a girl and she guessed that Sho had felt the force of her punches.
“Um...Morning...” She mumbled her voice rough and groggy with sleep and quickly she gulped a few times to try and clear her throat and she untangled herself from her position wincing when, as predicted, there were the first tingles of blood rushing back into her arm.
“It’s after 12 so its afternoon...” Sho smiled kissing her nose seemingly unconcerned that his face looked like they’d had a fight rather than slept together. “You move around a lot...”
“Jun said the same thing...He says that getting into bed with me is worse than karate lessons...” She mumbled a little sitting up and rubbing her arm through the pins and needles. She was surprised when a hard look flittered across Sho face and his heart shaped lips pressed together as he hummed
“Is there something I should know?”
“What? No! Jun is completely gay...I think the only time he was with a girl was when he was 12 and then he spent most of the time playing with her older brother...” Masako said with an excited squeak waving her arms around and regretting it when the tingle came on worse than ever going up and down her arm. She winced and rubbed clenching and unclenching her fingers the way that Jun had told her to. Sho laughed loudly his body relaxing again and Masako rolled her eyes wondering if he was always going to have the jealous streak running through him, she hoped so because it made her feel special.
“Sorry Ma-Ma...I was mostly joking...But he’s right, you wiggled around like a worm until you managed to pin me down...” Sho murmured with a grin touching the bruises on his face while Masako blushed hotly glad that her arm was getting back to normal “Anyway we should clean up and get changed...Your dad, mum and Jun is waiting for us...Though I’m a bit worried that your dad wants to kill me...”
“Why...?” She gasped her eyes widening and her mouth forming a perfect ‘o’ in her face and Sho chuckled kissing her nose again.
“Because he said ‘I’m going to kill you’...” He told her motioning to the phone and she couldn’t help but giggle loudly at the shudder he gave. This could have been so different, she could have felt embarrassment about what they had done before they went to sleep but Sho hadn’t let her, instead treating her perfectly normally which was a good way to make her forget all about it.
“You shouldn’t worry about it; Mum won’t let him kill you...” She said patting him on the head and then moving away from the bed stretching out completely forgetting that she was only in her swimming costume. It wasn’t until she heard a small moan from the bed that she remembered and hurried into the bathroom covering her body with her hands.

Sometime later after they had both showered and changed they made their way down into the foyer hand in hand. Girls turned to look at them their eyes running over Sho from top to bottom before bringing their eyes over to Masako and glaring, Masako didn’t pay much attention to them her mind so focused on their conversation about what other mythical could exist. She was convinced that unicorns were real they were just hunted down by humans and other predators and their horns were removed. Sho noticed though and he pulled her against his chest glaring at the girls until they’d gotten the hint and looked away.
“Sho-chan...Is everything okay?” She asked her voice muffled against the fabric of his shirt
“Yeah, so what’s your take on dragons?” He asked letting her go and kissing the top of her head as they continued on their path and Masako beamed brightly almost hopping as she walked
“They definitely existed; they’re in every culture in the world so they had to!” She said and Sho nodded looking around for Nino and the others. He caught sight of Kudo who floated over to them a huge smile on his face.
“Ninomiya-sama, Aiba-sama and Jun-san are in the family bar, Masako-sama...” He said and Masaki smiled at the older man thanking him warmly before tugging Sho’s hand and leading him into the bar. They caught sight of Masako’s parents easily as they were sat near the door a box of chocolate on the table and three non-alcoholic drinks in front of them. They would have looked like parents and their child if Nino wasn’t sitting so close to Jun like he was a second skin and running his fingers over his face. Sho tensed a little remembering the talk he’d had with Jun and the warning Masami had given him that morning. Looking at the older man and the teenager now though it was easy to see why Masami was so convinced that Nino could feel more for the teenager than he had any of his other ‘playmates’ there was a smile on his face that Sho had only ever seen with his father and it was almost weird to see it directed at somebody else.
“I see you finally joined us” Nino muttered as they sat down and Sho stiffened looking everywhere but at the older man. Masami laughed loudly flicking out her hair
“Oh stop it, you’ve only just come down yourself...And you don’t have the excuse of being young like they do...” She said patting Sho’s arm before giving it a tighter than friendly squeeze and quickly became painful “I’m sure they were perfectly safe, weren’t you?”
“Yes, ma’am...We didn’t um...Not...Um...” Sho stammered his cheeks going bright red as his mouth opened and closed. Under Masami’s watchful gaze he felt like a child caught with his hands in the cookie jar. He shifted around on the seat like he was sitting on ball bearings wondering where his calm had gone too.
“We only did it over the clothes...” Masako blurted out before giving a small embarrassed giggle and hiding her face against Sho’s arm. There was silence for a minute and then Nino and Masami gave a laugh and the hand detached from his arm. Nino waved over a waiter and ordered another round of drinks.
“Just be careful” Nino mumbled leaning against Jun his eyes closing “Anyway, were staying here for a few more days and then we’ll head back to the beach house...”
“But we’re only here for the week...You said that you had some work...” Masako said with a frown and Sho nodded, he was meant to be working in the Ninomiya Company from next week for work experience, not that he minded too much that he was going to get to spend more time with Masako.
“I’ve put it back and Jun’s already rang his parents so it’s cool...Sho’s meant to be temping in my office from next week but since you were just going to be my assistant anyway it’s fine...” Nino shrugged “It’s been a long time since we took a holiday, we deserve it...Even Hiro’s coming down...”
“Uncle Hiro?” Masako said looking at her mum who smiled widely giving a nod
“Yeah, I was lonely with you and your papa all paired off, he’ll be coming down tonight...” Masami murmured sipping from her drink and Sho thought that, if he ignored the tense looks Masako’s parents sent each other and the concerned looks that Jun kept giving Nino, it was plausible. He almost glared at the other three around the table knowing that they were hiding something from him and he knew that it had to be something with his dad. He rubbed his chin lightly deciding that once he was alone he’d ring his dad and ask what the hell was going on.

Date: 2013-08-12 03:06 pm (UTC)I could speak about the lovely couple Matsutmiya who is SOOOOOOO cute together but the end really caught my attention because... Sho knows something is hidden from him and that it concerns his father... His fathers is acting strange since a while... the way whose he acted with his future wife... if Ohno tells him the truth... father or not... it will turn wrong, REALLY REALLY wrong.
So, I find that ending TRULY frightening despite that the whole chapter was rather with a summer/happy feeling.
