A not so hopeless crush part 9

“What?” Jun growled in Masaki’s direction as they waited to start filming. Arashi’s tallest and most idiotic member had been flashing him grins ever since they had left the changing room and he knew the reason for it but he wanted to know the reason why. Masaki giggled a little like a simpleton and then slapped him hard on the back saying;

“You…And Nino-chan! You’re so cute!”

“Shut-up!” Jun growled his eyes moving quickly around the crowd of staff members hoping that none had heard them. They were normally discreet about the things that they heard but a scandal like this would be a great money maker. Jun was sure that JE would make him come out smelling of roses but he wasn’t completely sure about Nino’s company. If they were already trying to get him out of his seemingly endless supply of dresses, then there would be no way that they would support him through a scandal. The last thing that Jun wanted was to cause problems for Nino. Thankfully nobody was paying them any attention and Masaki gave another idiotic giggle his hand slapping him hard on the back. Jun was close to punching him when the director called for action and as one they slipped into the in front of camera personas.

By some absolute miracle the filming went smoother and better than it normally did with Masaki and Sho barely making any mistakes and they were soon allowed a break while the studio was set up. Normally Jun would hang around and talk things over with the director and producer but today he was out of the studio and on his way to the green room before anybody could stop him. He was pretty sure he heard Masaki’s raspy voice shouting ‘Cute’ but he ignored it and focused on getting his heart to stop pounding as he opened the door honestly unprepared for the sight of Nino lounging on the sofa like some princess of old. One of his legs was up and bended at the knee while the other was on the floor a gaming console was in his hands. There was a sort of deer caught in the headlights moment as he dropped his leg down causing the petticoat and dress to drop with a rustle of lace and then he almost fell off the sofa completely as he sat up his cheeks burning a bright red.

“Sorry…I…Um…I may dress like a princess but I have all the grace of an oaf…” He mumbled his voice almost on the verge of vanishing “Um...Sorry…”

“I actually thought you looked like a very comfortable princess…” Jun muttered groaning when he heard a cackle of laughter coming from behind him and he realised that the rest of Arashi had followed behind. He shuffled further into the green room and then closed his eyes tightly trying to steel himself for the teasing comments that he was bound to get from his band mates but to his surprise they never came. It was as though they were all on their best behaviour. It was too good to last but at the moment he was glad of the respite and even more happy when Nino made him a cup of coffee. “Thank-you…”

“You’re welcome…” Nino grinned sitting back down next to him and Jun was positive that he had been sent back to being a fumbling child when Nino’s leg pressed against his.

“So you’re going dress shopping?!” Masaki asked brightly as though it was a normal topic of conversation for their dressing room and Jun itched to ask if he could go with him and see what kind of dress Nino would pick. Ever since seeing Nino he had learnt about the fashion Nino liked and had even flipped through some of the magazines of new releases and he had always pictured Nino in rococo style with floral prints but so far he had never physically seen it.

“Yeah…I want to upset them by buying something really fancy!”

“Like the rococo…” Jun muttered before stopping himself and turning a bright shade of red as he realised what he had said out loud.

“Eeh? What’s rococo?” Masaki asked with a lifted eyebrow and Nino quickly gave him an explanation. “Wow! You have a secret stash somewhere Jun?”

“No…I just…Um…Pictured…I just always wanted to see you in something like that…” Jun growled awkwardly looking at Nino who cocked his head to one side and hummed;

“Then come with me…Pick out the dress you like and I’ll wear it…”

“It might be awkward to go shopping…I mean…You’re recognisable…And so am I…”

“Then we can all go!” Masaki said as if that was going to help anything “If we’re all there then there won’t be any misunderstandings!”

“I have another recording after this…” Toma hummed and slowly Satoshi nodded as well but on cue Sho shrugged saying;

“I don’t have anything till later…”

“A double date!”

I love how Nino loves to wear dresses and then sat like that when nobody around, reminds me of the Ninoko episode of Nino-san when Nino wore girl clothes but still sat like a guy Lol
