krystalkatzficz“I think I’ve got brain freeze…” Nino chuckled as they headed back to the car once more their stomachs full of the three lots of chocolate and cookie dough ice cream that they had consumed. He hadn’t meant to have so much but it was something that he had never been allowed to have before, or if he did go with his mother and half siblings he had only been allowed vanilla and was then forced to listen to his mother gushed about how he was a good kid who never asked for anything while she bought his brother and sister mountains of ice cream. “It was nice though! Thank-you…”
“You’re welcome…It’s been a long time since I’ve had ice cream…I don’t normally enjoy it…” Jun muttered with something close to a smile on his lips and Nino found himself feeling happy at the softened expression on the older man’s face. It made him seem to be a lot more attractive with even his eyes changing away from the harsh expressions that they seemed to permanently hold. “…How is your head?”
“Stopped hurting…A little…” Nino answered correcting himself when a little stab of pain behind his eyes informed him that it was still painful. Jun chuckled pulling his keys from his pocket and unlocking his car doors before whispering gently;
“I told you that you were rushing that last one down…”
“I guess but it was tasty…” Nino pouted sliding into the front seat of the car and trying hard not to physically wince as small pain flared up in his side. He knew that it was just because he had been too long without any kind of pain relief but for a moment it was so bad that he was sure that it was because it had opened up again and he discreetly tried to check to see if there was any leakage around the wound.
“Are you okay…Your wound? Do you need to see Satoshi?” Jun asked his voice calm and collected as always but Nino was positive that there was something akin to panic in his gorgeous brown eyes and Nino slowly shook his head giving a smile before letting his hand move away from his side saying;
“Nah…I’m fine…I think that maybe I stretched my stomach with too much ice cream…You can check me over when we get back…”
“Don’t think I won’t…” Jun growled as he tossed his suit jacket into the back seat of the car his impressive eyebrows lifting slowly up his forehead as he shot him a piercing stare that caused Nino’s insides to twist and jump around like he was fish caught on a line. It wasn’t unpleasant but it was strange and he felt almost breathless when the older man finally started to speak again “Don’t lie to me…If it’s hurting you have to tell me…”
“I’m not lying, it’s hurting but only a little…” Nino smiled wondering if it was strange that the concern that he heard in Jun’s voice somehow pleased him and made his heart flutter inside his chest “It was just a twinge and I honestly think that it was caused by my skin stretching because I over indulged on ice cream…But thanks for your concern…”
“Right…Well we’ll get you back and get you in bed…”
“Sounds fun…” Nino yawned having to admit that he was looking forward to getting back and resting a little. He was sure that he was almost fully recovered but it was the first time that he had been out in a while and his body was starting to feel sluggish and his eyelids were growing heavy as though they were being weighed down by little lead weights. “…Wake me up when we get back…”
“...Sure thing brat…”
